from the beginning.
first week in may in 2013. I lost my competition horse due to kidney failure. I found out if he had had regular yearly bloodwork. I may have found out about it earlier and he might have had some extra time, and I could have done some things differently. In his honor, I decided to get a full range of bloodwork, to make sure I wasn't in the same boat. To my terrible dismay, I found out I had this terrible disease. In addition to losing my best friend, who was literally my whole life I now found out I am also inflicted with something terrible. I had determined the only way I could have contracted this was some risky behavior in a very short period of time in my late teens. After investigating all aspects of what I was facing on the internet. I found the best doctor in NYPrest. hospital. I made the long train ride there, and found out I wasn't in as bad shape as I thought. She suggested I wait for new medications, but it was going to be a while. I looked into all aspects of the new treatments on the horizon and followed all the ion1,2 and 3 trials. I went to NY every 3 months for bloodwork. In June '14 I found my super dooper doctor resigned to take care of her baby and I had to see another doctor. Knowing the time was nearing for the cure, I was apprehensive about dealing with a new doctor. I met with the new doc and she seemed ok and I expressed my intentions of immediately getting the drug as soon as it was available. So my next quarterly appointment was scheduled 2 weeks after the anticipated approval date of the new drug. I got a call from the hospital trying to assign a different doctor, I begged to keep the new one I just talked with, as I had worked so hard to establish a doctor/patient relationship so that when the drug was approved, I would be ready to go.

Oh my, the grieving of a best friend is so terrible...I lost my cat, he was my camping buddy and hiking buddy...he was so funny the whole neighborhood thought he was a dog...he loved to walk on a lease or just run free...it is such deep deep pain...God Bless
yes its awful I am still grieving. lol on the leash, my daughter does that with one of her cats. I think he saved my life in a martyr sort of way. If he hadn\'t had died I still wouldn\'t have known what I was dealing with. He was a super horse. I won so many competitions almost everyone he entered.
