FriYay.... Dr. Don Nutritionist
I've been busy all week... and yesterday worked in the yard. I raked and messed w/ leaves for about an hour--ish. I was exhausted and went to bed by 700 pm. I didn't have classes today, but taught 12 this week.
I have been cooking up a storm. I've made sausage n shrimp cajun dish that was awesome, fish w/ lots of veggies n sweet potatoes, navy bean and pork ribs in the crock.
Today I'm making home made chicken noodle soup in the crock. Mmm it already smells really good.
I have almost all of the laundry done already today... I mopped n swept this week and went to my meetings. So this has been a very good week. I didn't walk w/ hubby last night bc I had worked in the yard but we walked several times this week. I did get some yoga and qui gong in.
Hubby has lost at least ten pounds this month and is doing very well w/ not drinking sodas or having sugar. This "heart" issue and being prediabetic has really scared him. I am cooking very well for us both and he is for the first time taking his health seriously. He will be sixty on his next bd.
I haven't had diet dr pepper quite a while now and I have noticed a HUGE difference in my pain levels. I am so thrilled about that. I have cut back on sugar while helping hubby and I have lost some weight too. I have lost about 5ish.
I was kind of craving soda yesterday... so I got a club soda / no sugar / at the Sonic and it hit the spot. I think it was dryness in my sinuses w/ all this wind.
I had NO DESSERTS over the Thanksgiving holiday NONE.
So, I'm really leaning on Dr. Sharnowski's diet and it is helping us both a lot. I'm very thankful that I got to go to Dr Don for a year before he left for Kansas City to work w/ the Chiefs. So glad he was my doctor for a year. GREAT nutritionist and helped me a lot! I just have to stick to the program. !!!

You can come and cook for me, any day! Wonderful all you are doing! Keeping busy, in spite of the pain, is so important. And congrats on eating better! Right now, Cimzia is destroying my intestines. But, that is another story!
