Friend's Funeral today
I did my friend's funeral today. He was 95 years old, and old Navy veteran from World War 2. He and I had became great friends the past 2 years. He was a sweet little man and I was so priviledge to know him, to visit with him and to listen to his many stories. He had became a special friend and we had many prayers together and the greatest priviledge was to lead Short to Christ and see the difference in his life. I would visit him in the hospital and at the nursing home. Short was never married nor was his brother. They lived together till short's brother passed away then short couldn't live alone after a few years. I received many compliments from those friends who attended. He had no family left. He was the last one of 5 brothers and 3 sisters. After my message, they had the Military Rites from the American Legion and he would have been proud and pleased. After their service was completed, I walked up to his casket and bid my old friend a farewell, till I see him again in Heaven.
