Friend Removal

I removed some "friends" today that I haven't heard from in months, some of which I haven't heard from since they made a friend request.  I am not a collector of avatars. I have tried to be a good friend to those who converse with me or even show any interest in having any contact with me.  Those who truly know me, know what kind of a friend I am and how I care for others.  I don't push my self on anyone and I do not pry into people's lives.  I guess I wonder how you can be friends and not know anything about the one who sent you a friend request, if they never contact you.
There may be others deleted in the upcoming days.  If I deleted you and you still wish to be my friend, then let me know.  I do not wish to offend anyone but, if you do not want me as a friend, delete me as well. There will be no hard feelings on my part.
My actions stem from me sending messages and never getting replies.  I see hugs, smooches, journal replies or comments  and daily correspondence to many other "friends" here but, few ever correspond with me, in that manner.
I guess my concept of friends is different than some.  Coming from a past like mine, I had few friends and the failure to correspond with me or return my messages, cause me to reflect back to my past, of being rejected by everyone.  This is something I have dealt with for years. It still haunts me.
