Friday, two more pulmonary rehab classes to go

Good morning journal, the time is now 6:05am,I have been awake since 2:50am,when two of our canine children roused me to tell me they needed to go outside. After they came back in,I made coffee and decided against going back to bed lest I disturb my wife, instead,Buttons and Caesar took up their usual positions on my side of the bed,and I decided to let them be. In the intervening period since I got up to finally coming here,I have imbibed enough coffee to float an aircraft carrier,on the up side,I feel very alert for now,on the downside,I know the tiredness will hit me hard later on,probably halfway through the morning,or,if I'm particularly fortunate, midway through the afternoon. I got through my pulmonary rehab class yesterday with no ill effects other than slight breathlessness and a bit of a wobble in my legs,on the whole though, not too bad at all. I don't intend to be here all that long this morning,I have spent a lot of time since I've been awake studying the word of God,and communing with Him,and of course,Jeremiah,Ruth and Micah. My state of mind has long since ceased to be something which I find strange, instead,it seems to me to be the most natural thing in the world, and I have no problem speaking to other people about any part of what is taking place within me. Next week, the pulmonary classes finish, but I intend to keep exercising at home with weights and leg strengthening programs which I have picked up from the fitness instructor at the classes,I feel a little stronger physically,I now intend to get stronger through my own efforts now. My wheelchair arrived on Tuesday afternoon,we haven't tried it outside yet,but we have already waited four months,so a day or two more won't hurt. I have already baptized my chair,he is called Ben,I named him this because on the wheel axle it says Ben NG,perhaps the brand name,I don't know, but Ben he is and Ben he will be for as long as he remains a part of our home. We have still heard nothing from the disability agency, and it is hard not to get discouraged,we know things take time, but I put my application in on July 31st,how long does it take to look at an individual case?. On the plus side,we have heard from the mental health team,a lady called Christine returned the call my wife had made yesterday morning, they do have a new social care worker who will ultimately be assigned to me,but for the next few weeks she is undergoing training,so we will just have to wait until her superiors finally pass her in whatever training she is having to undergo at present,I'm praying that it won't be too long before she makes contact with us,and I finally have a first point of contact that is my personal designated care worker instead of some anonymous receptionist who doesn't know me from Adam. Well journal, that's it for now,my coffee cup is empty, and I have more to talk to God about,no doubt,Jeremiah,Ruth and Micah will have their own things to say to me also. Until the next time then, may our Father in Heaven walk with us through the day ahead, and may we strive to walk in the path He lays for us,wherever it may lead.
