most of the stuff i posted on facebook is gone. i noticed a WHILE ago, that many of my favorite sites weren't that good anymore and very limited with information all of a sudden, and people have been complaining a LOT that facebook is putting first on the home page the places that pay them to put them in there. wth? so when did this mass deletion begin?
on the site called bitches going at it hard as a muthafuqqa, they have had to reopen twice, but i thought it was because their humor is crude. (used to be funny though). now i wonder if its a money thing, like everything else in usa. even the nostalgia stuff is gone. jokes are gone. memes are gone. its creepy kind of weird. i can find it on the activity thing, so i can repost and i guess scrapbook it on pinterest, though i don't know how to do that and print it and make hard copies of it. a lot of people stopped using facebook when facebook started deleting from people's sites, now i see why. you put all this effort into collecting and saving all these memes and then they delete it at whim. very strange.
on alumni sites, entire sections of photos are missing. they thought it was from facebook reformatting and screwing up, now i think, facebook is just deleting at whim, like hmmm, this doesn't pay us and we need space here so lets delete all of this. grrrrr. a lot of people are leaving because why post on a page if its going to disappear. the argument from facebook is they don't want people using it as a diary or journal, they want them to talk and share photos. okay so time for FACEBOOK 2 where people CAN journal, scrapbook and diary while leaving it in an open place for others to copy and share as well. i don't think pinterest is open like that in the scrapbook mode, or maybe it is? is pinterest owned by facebook? i also heard monsanto owns facebook, so is that why most of the health-related memes are also gone?
its been raining a lot for the passed couple of days and its cooler at night. i feel like its winter and want to put the heat on. its 72 outside right now. anything below 80 is cold to me. brrrrr.
have been using bath salt to help heal my foot and its working. i also used the jacuzzi jets at timeshare for that and i think it worked breaking up whatever calcium or whatever is there causing troubles. the jellies work okay if i push them to the front of the shoe, but they don't stay put. so we'll see.
went to arby's with a and the hope store. i finally called the church people, jeanne and fern about the co-op and both want to do it. the church was bought out by another church further south, so they left doing volunteering for the church for now. jeanne says she isn't feeling well. (does anyone feel well after the age of 40? our bodies begin to DIE internally at age 40. that amazes me.) i need to go over and talk to the minister about it and offer all of our services and coordination. i'd also like to see some of the land used for community gardening and classes in gardening for the public especially CHILDREN. taking them fishing nearby would also be good as we all assume "someone" is doing that, and that isn't always true.
they already have the building and its not used that much. it might also revive the church itself. september is church awareness month. i almost felt guilty doing this because our own church is right near my house. the big thing with the larger churches now, is they are offering food during or after the service. at one of them you can eat in the cafe and watch the service like its theatre. and they have all installed latte machines. one of the churches has a wine and cheese party after their saturday night service and breakfast and latte after their sunday services. you donate whatever amount you want, there is no real charge (it ends up being the same because there will be a basket at each station, but that is fine. it all goes to a good cause and at regular places money goes into a corporate pocket of greed).
the hope store south of here has become a rip off. its about 25% off with a few additional specials that still make it worth it to bother to go, like french cookies, hair color, breads -- all kinds of cosmetics if you are a teenager and enjoy that kind of thing, but mostly its not okay anymore. dollar general is equally cheap and the merchandize is new not bump and dent. so it will be good timing for another bump and dent store cooperative. i told jeanne, canned foods will cost about 25 cents and she lit up. she lives on social security, so even though her house is paid up, i'm sure her medical bills make it hard anyway until we finally get what they already have everywhere else in the civilized world. socialized medicine. her son is there, and he is also on social security ever since his car accident.

*hugs* I didn\'t know churches had all that stuff. I\'m an atheist, so I don\'t go to church, but I can see how they market to their target audience.
