Friday or Fryday?

By the time I got home from my appt and out of the shower, Roomie had gone to bed.  I never got a chance to tell him-so..I have to tell him tonight and I found out that he will be off tommorow too-making the moving situation uncomfortable.  Its going to be slow here at work today.  I wish I couldve taken the day off but I am saving my vacation days for the unpredictable.  This whole coronavirus has me worried-I have an autoimmune disorder and hope it does not make me more at risk.  Im gonna load up on immunity supplements and pray.  Shouldnt we all be wearing masks?  Just something else for me to obsess over.  I guess we should all be grateful that its not something more serious.

I am a little worried about how Roomie is going to take this-the last time he had a heart attack-which turned out to be a rare heart condition that runs in his family-but-still-he told me I literally broke his heart.  I felt guilty and have been taking care of him ever since.

Still----I know what I want and need to do-its just so hard.

At the considerable risk of invalidating your anxiety, I avoid mainstream news coverage for the sake of not feeding my anxiety issues. By the time a tidbit like the Corona virus jumps my avoidance tactics, it typically has acquired its humorous stripes. I haven't been this amused since the anthrax scare.

Beehaving now. . .

Good luck with The *Friend* Talk. Ain't romance grand?

Hope everything went well with your appt.

I have an autoimmune disease too and take immuno-suppressant medication for it. I'm not too worried myself. I just make sure to keep washing my hands which seems to be the best way to stay healthy. There's a lot of misinformation and hysteria being drummed up right now in the media, so I tend to rely on the CDC or WHO websites for information and tips on prevention.

Remember, you're not responsible for how your roommate responds. He is in charge of himself and his own feelings, behavior etc. Just be prepared for it not being received well. That way when he tries to manipulate you into staying, you'll be prepared to not cave. That's the part you have control over, how you react. No one wants to hurt someone. It's never easy but you're ultimately responsible for your own happiness, no one else, so keep that in the forefront of your mind. Feeling guilty implies you are doing something wrong. I don't see that you're doing anything wrong by ending a relationship that doesn't work.

Good luck.
