Friday morning,awake and somewhat rested
Good morning journal, the time now is 8:58am,I have been awake since 7:25am when Caesar began pawing our bedroom door in an effort to gain entry and finally cement his relationship with Bree while we slept.Despite his best efforts,Bree is still "virgo intacto",and, despite his pleading, will remain so,at the moment,my wife is out back with him throwing his favorite toy for him to fetch in an effort to tire him out, good luck with that one honey!. I do feel sorry for him,and also for Bree, and somewhere in the corridors of my memory,I remember when I was much younger, having feelings similar,if not quite so publicly displayed, that they both must be feeling right now,I like to think however, that I displayed at least a modicum of decorum and self restraint if my powers of recall are correct,it was quite a long time ago.Well,Caesar and my wife have now rejoined us in the lounge, and Caesar is flopped on the floor of his cage, too exhausted at the moment to dwell on anything more than panting for breath, hopefully that is because of his efforts and energy expounded chasing his toy out back and not for any reasons of unrequited love, for the present at least,he is at peace. The pain in my left shoulder and neck was still there when I awoke, this morning it was not as severe as it has been of late, this might be due to my wife's suggestion before I retired last evening that I might benefit from wearing one of the thermal undershirts that I used to wear for work in wintertime,I followed her suggestion, and this morning the pain was bearable.I usually sleep "au naturelle",whether it's summer or winter, perhaps it is nature's way of telling me that I'm too darned old to sleep with no clothes on anymore!,but,no matter what the reason was for having less pain to endure this morning,I am grateful.See what I mean about having nothing to write about but doing it anyway?,anyone who has followed my journal will know that sometimes I come here and write about absolutely nothing at all,yet somehow,I manage to end up with a page full of nothingness that might have a sentence or two that actually makes me think,"oh,THAT'S what I've been trying to say",or at other times,I finish up with complete drivel that has served no useful purpose other than to kill an hour or two of time that might have been spent on other things I could have been doing instead,no matter,it is always an enjoyable experience.Perhaps someday I may compile all of my scribblings into one giant volume of inane rambling and attempt to have it published,I could call it,"diary of a depressive nobody",or something just as informative that might provoke enough interest in curious minded individuals for them to say,"hey,I might just have to have a look at this thing",I'm sure that after reading the collected volumes of me,they might then have occasion to say,"you know what?,I'm not that crazy after all",anything I can do to help, you know?. I seem to be in a reflective frame of mind this morning, and that folks,is always dangerous,I never seem to know what is going to appear on the page before me next,I'm sure there are many occasions throughout history where individuals just like myself have pondered reflectively on the meaning of life and their part in it,take Isaac Newton for instance,am I the only person on the planet who wonders how long he sat staring at that tree waiting for the apple to fall to give us what we know today as the theory of gravity?,how did he know there was a theory there waiting to be discovered?,how did people handle gravity before it was discovered?,see what I mean?. Archimedes is another guy, there he was, sitting in his bath minding his own business when suddenly he felt the overpowering urge to yell "Eureka!",you have to ask yourself why he did it,and what was he doing at the time it happened?,that,I suggest,is entirely his own business,my point is,why did he feel it necessary to share it with the rest of the world?. I,like most people in the world today, have had thousands of baths in my lifetime,I cannot recall one single time when I felt the need to share with anyone what happened while I was in there,is it just me?. Wait!,I have current news to share,my telephone just rang and on the other end of it was a social worker from the mental health team called Tina, she rambled on for about thirty seconds before I had the chance to tell her that I'm deaf and could she please speak with my wife who could then translate her message to me,come to think of it,I'm deaf, why the hell did I answer the telephone in the first place?,yet another of life's little mysteries.Anyhow, the upshot of her conversation with my wife was that she would come to visit us on October 16th at 1:00pm,that is the same day as Bree, our middle dog goes to the vet to have her tooth pulled, but,we should be okay for time as Bree's appointment is 9:00am,so it should be okay. Now,what were we talking about?,oh yes, history and it's impact on us today,we've had a look at Newton and Archimedes, who else can we metaphorically disembowel this morning?,how about Charles Darwin?,now there was a guy who was one sandwich short of a picnic,he comes up with the theory that we all descended from apes, well, what I want to know is if that hairy baboon at the zoo is my cousin Henry three times removed, why can't I climb trees?. My understanding of evolution is that if one species evolves into another smarter species, the original species disappears, yes?,well if Darwin is right, then why are there still apes left in the world today?. Did they have a human exam way back when and some of them didn't make the cut?,I'm sorry Charlie boy,but I'm not having any of it.Anyway,Caesar is beginning to get fractious again, having recovered from his previous exertions out back, his interest has, once again, turned to Bree, who is strolling around like a model on the catwalk, parading all of her doggy curves provocatively enough to disturb him enough to try and bite through the bars of his cage,I really feel for the big guy,so I guess I'd better go and try and calm him down a little,I'd suggest a cold shower to him but I don't think he'd fit in it!. Until next time then journal, may God keep us safe and provided for,and may His love and contentment be uppermost in our home and our hearts this day.

WOW!! I actually love you ramblings. It shows me I\'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!
Just a note: Archimedes was being challenged by his king. The king was worried that all the gold he had given was not used in his crown. He challenged Archimedes to come up with a solution to weigh the crown and find out if all the gold was used. Archimedes noticed when he got in a bath that all the water spilled over to replace the weight of his body. Then he ran through the streets, BUTT NAKED, yelling \"Eureka\" which in his language meant \"I have it!!!\" ok, A little bit nutty, but it worked.
Can\'t answer your other questions. But, know this, you\'re not the only one who wants to know!!!
