Friday eve
I need your help tonite...as you know I have had Hunter for the past 10 days (he is at a friends's house till Sunday) He will go home on Tuesday....anyway....I am so SAD,,,CRYING, CRYING.....not wanting to let him go....what is wrong with me? I am grateful that he is doing well even thought I am left out of the loop many times and always have to ask how he's doing....but that's where his mom wanted Hunter - the "perfect family" - God knows decisions I've made my daughter wanted Hunter with her aunt & uncle (on her dad's side) that never divorced....blah, blah, blah.......So I have enjoyed Hunter so much and it hurts so much to let him go....compared to what I've lost, it's nothing to say goodbye, knowing I can see him again so WHY OH WHY AM I SO DARN SAD?????? My emotions are so crazy, tonite and have been all day...I just didn't know who else to ramble to....thx for listening....tomorrow is another day and I pray that my heart doesn't feel as heavy tomorrow.

I can so relate. I understand how hard it is not being part of Hunter\'s day to day world. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you!!! I have been out of the loop with my granddaughter. I have cried and raged for 5 years.
Cevyn is now 19 so makes her own decisions. We have a good relationship but she lives 5 hours away by air. I have missed so much of her life.
So my dear, your feelings are normal. It is okay to be sad. Crying helps I find. I also rant and rave just to decompress.
Take care of yourself and love that boy. He will appreciate that you are there for him.
Love and tight hugs,
Marlene
Oh, my friend how I understand... I think it\'s that you feel that much closer to your Jennifer when you can be in Hunter\'s physical space. He is his mother\'s child and that is your daughter and it makes perfect sense to me that it\'s just so hard to think of saying good-bye for now.
Be ever so gentle with your feelings and simply understand that by BEing with Hunter you feel that much closer to your daughter because she lives on through him and it\'s a tangible and heartfelt reminder that Jennifer was, IS and always will BE Hunter\'s mom and your beloved daughter.
I was just thinking of you today as you had sent me that sweet hug just a few days before my Littles were leaving and I was thinking that I would be doing the same for you because it meant so much to me and I was wondering how you were feeling...
Tightest of heartfelt (((hugs))) of understanding and LOVE. You are creating precious memories with Hunter that will BE yours forever.
XO Joanie
I often feel sad when Athena leaves and I have noticed I often get physically sick the day after...coincidence? who knows. I agree with what Joanie and Marlene said. My Jason\'s child is a piece of Jason and I feel Jason\'s presence when I am near Athena. It\'s the same for you and Hunter.
I give you my entire heart of sympathy! I personally don\'t know what it is to be a grandmother but know this must be so difficult! I know though what the first years after losing a child can do to the heart and body. I also know prayers heal and you have mine. Sending you love!
I understand 2 of my grandies live in the Tampa area their mom keeps moving never know what address she has. She never returns my calls or texts. I have not seem little Mikie in a year and half. She ships them up to NY to spend the summer with her Mom. I have face book to keep up with pictures of how big he and Katelyn are getting.
Back to you, if it will help can you skyp with him so you can talk face to face and see what he is doing .. just a thought.
Sending tight hugs
Penny
I don\'t have grandchildren, Vicki, but I can imagine that it has to be REALLY hard to say \'goodbye\'.
Thinking of you & hope today will be easier.
Love,
Donna
My guess is that you miss her so much and he is as close to her as anyone can be. Each time my granddaughter comes to visit, there is a time of sadness for me when she leaves. There are so many times I wish I could be closer and see her more. Phone calls and cards help me connect . She knows her Mimi loves her and I feel the love she has for me.
Enjoy him, and make memories. Share remembrances about his mother. Love him and take pictures.
Hope the rest of your time together is pleasant.
Debbie
I always want to be around my Jenns children... they (especially Allie) are an extension of her...
