Friday already!

Dearest,
Wednesday the power went out, wind storm, it was out from 12:30 pm until 1:10 am. I got nothing done Wednesday, so last night I had to run like crazy trying to catch up, I was feeling a little wierd. Early this morning I woke up in pain, my sinuses were killing me, I was sneezing non-stop, coughing etc. I have a miserable cold, is there any other kind? As I was getting a mug for my chicken soup tonight I came across one of our mugs from one of our trips to Jamaica. The memories came flooding back. Strange how memories get attached to things. I miss you so much. I miss you over worrying about me whenever I'm sick. I know I used to hate it but, I'd give anything to have you back here worrying about me.
So  here I sit, nursing my mug of chicken soup, feeling miserable, sneezing, shivering, and missing you terribly. Could things get any worse?
I finally made an appointment to take your cat in for his annual vet visit. Damned if I know how I'm gonna get Sox in a box. Probably be like getting an eagle in a sack. Which reminds me I'm on my own tomorrow at Audubon, which not only means that I'll be there for a couple of hours but also means that Manitou will probably beat me up. I was thinking about taking a camera and trying to get some pics of these stars.
Kristin took the kids to meet Santa, at the mall I guess, Eric saw Santa, screamed and made a beeline for his lap saying Hai Bumpa, hai Bumpa all the way. I'm thinking that I might be a little overdue for a beard trimming. She had a helluva time convincing him that it wasn't me, mostly because she was hysterical laughing.
Happy belated Chunnakah Honey.
Your Ken

Ken, I hope you feel better, but with the grandkids making you laugh, is the best medicine. Stay warm.

Ken,
Feed a cold, starve a fever... stay warm and well hydrated and feel better soon! I live in fear of getting sick - Jim always hovered over me to the point of my irritation. Like you I\'d love for him to be hovering once more.
Blessings,
Linda
ps. Sox in a Box? Is that like Cat in the Hat?

Ken, I know how miserable you feel right now, but chicken soup is great for almost anyting thats wrong. Keep an eye that it dosn\'t turn into a sinus infection instead of a cold, ok..... Take it easy and try a nice hot steamy shower, helps clear the sinuses. Take care. Hugs Jane
