French fries

I guess to want to help others and the very next day fall off the wagon and eat a tiny order of McDonald's french fries is far from my goal.  I mentioned in my journal that it had been two months (at least) since I had an episode of bile reflux.  I was up an hour this morning (3am) with a bad case of aspirating bile.  I was elevated in my adjustable bed at the time and it had been over 12 hours since ingesting the fries that I felt I couldn't live without.  Denying one's self every single day of things you want to eat is a disaster waiting to happen.  So I start counting the days until I have another episode.  I have let myself down and everyone else who has to restrict foods and drinks that are forbidden with this condition. The discomfort is still in my chest along with the coughing. It leaves me so tired that I have no energy at all.  Historically this will take me a week to get over.  I cough up mucous for up to two weeks from some of my episodes.  It's times like this that I find the hardest. I'm sorry to set a bad example but then I am human.
