Freaking out

I think I made a mistake: I came to work today. RE said it was fine to come to work but this morning when I woke up, I was so tired and in my gut I thought, hmmm, I should probably call in sick one more day. People get the flu for a few days, right?! Anyway, I started worrying about missing another day of work so I came in. I take the bus to work and never noticed this before, but damn, it's a really bumpy, jostling ride!!! I am feeling VERY regretful that I came to work. I am set up to work from home so I should have probably just done that. I know this is way too important and it hasn't even been 24 hours since my FET. I'm here at work now and feeling like, oh no, what if I ruined this and now this embie won't stick because I didn't give myself that extra day to relax at home? UGH!!! RE said that they have seen that getting back to your normal routine, with moderation, is actually best but I can't help but wonder if that means after the first 24-48 hours. And I also know the stress of this all isn't good for me either. I could really use some of your wonderful reassurance right now....thank you thank you!!!

I would like to tell you not to worry at all, way easier said than done I know. Listen I went to work the next day both times I had a transfer and I got pregnant both times. I know I may not be in the majority when I say this, but one day is enough rest. My clinic said I could go back the same day, but I liked at least resting on the transfer day. The good thing is that the embie is sticky, it\'s not going anywhere and you moving around will not change things. I got this straight from my RE and from the clinic that does my transfers. With that said, do what is right for you and if you feel you need to go home and rest then do it! Hope this helps and this TWW flies by! Hugs!

Hey, my old RE did not require any bed rest at all. The only instruction I got was day of transfer just take it easy and do not go up and down the stairs constantly. After that it was life as normal. So DO NOT stress out about it. The stress is probably worse than the bus ride! Just don\'t go dancing at lunch or anything ;-)

I\'ve always felt the same way, but after an IUI, not an FET. I\'ve never done one of those. But in essence I was made to feel crazy lol. Although I think that I would\'ve taken the extra day off (I won\'t lie) but I do in all honesty think that you are just fine. It\'s just crazy how much precautions we take after these procedures, and how everybody else went mud wrestling, had gang bangs (that\'s a bumpy ride too) and skydived and then low and behold their pregnancy stuck! You\'re already at work. Try not to worry , and keep yourself extra still if it helps to makeyou feel better. But if those embies are there to stay (and they are!!) then they are going to stay regardless. Good luck and fingers crossed tight this works!!

My RE didn\'t require bedrest either. She said there were studies done that said it does not improve chances significantly. No worries! I know it seems silly but there is no way you jostled them out. XOXO

Thank you all! I am worried the jostling prevented them from sticking, or if they are trying to stick, they might unstick lol I know I probably sound insane saying that. Nelly, you are so spot on about all these women doing insane things and getting pregnant and not even knowing they are pregnant, and here we are doing whatever we can to get and stay pregnant. I swear if my RE told me to sit on my hands all day and stare at the wall and mutter to myself so the embies stick, I would do it no questions asked!

I don\'t have any experience on this but I would say that going to work and sitting on the bus is nothing like doing an intense workout. I think you are safe. If you are still worried, maybe take a half day and go home and rest some more. Sounds like from other girls on here that there isn\'t any one thing we can do or not do to make this happen. I am praying for you! xoxo

You are going to be ok. My RE described the uterus as a peanut butter jar. If you put a teeny tiny seed in the peanut butter jar and then shake it up and down that little seed is never going to fall out. As long as your not exercising or having sex you should be ok. I am crossing my fingers for you.

Hoping everything is just fine. I know it\'s different, but women are able to get prego after BD with hubby and not taking it easy for a few days right?!?

Hugs

Thanks for all your input. My boss told me to come home early if I wanted (he thinks I am sick still) so I am home now. Feel much better to be home and relaxing so this little bean sticks.

I\'m so sorry your so stressed out. I can just tell you that with my last IVF transfert my RE told me that all the new studies confirm that you don\'t even need to stay in bed at the clinic for 30 min. after transfert, that it makes no difference on the result. That you can get up and leave after 5 minutes ! That being said, they let you use the bed if you want to stay even if they don\'t see the point since these new studies have been confirmed. That being said, I stayed after mine. I can also tell you that the reason they say you can get back to your normal relaxed routine is that it helps increase bloodflow which helps with implantation.
I\'m sure you\'re good, just try to stay relaxed. Being PUPO has a way of making you nuts. I\'m sure you are doing everything you can.

Some RE\'s suggest one day of rest, some suggest two to three, some suggest none. There are new studies that show too much rest is actually not helpful for implantation, because you should be up and moving to keep blood flowing to the uterus. My RE described the inside of the uterus like a deflated balloon filled with sponge-like material. When you think of it that way its easy to see that those embies aren\'t going to fall out! Try not to stress. Enjoy being PUPO as much as you can. xoxo
