Foxy's New Word

Foxy has learned a new word.  I just noticed it tonight.  It's a word she fears.  She was laying on the floor next to me as I was talking to her and I told her she was probably the reason I'll never go back to the state hospital.  She jumped up and looked at me.  It surprised me to see her reaction and I started saying the words I'd just spoken.  When I got to hospital, she jumped and looked at me.  She's heard that word so many times in her life.  I've made several trips and stayed at the hospital for days and weeks.  I guess when she hears the word, she expects not to see me for a while.  I never realized how it affected her until now.  I won't use that word in front of her anymore and I'll have to be on death's bed before I got back to the hospital.

It is also emotional \'tone\' and body language she is picking up on. Dogs have a wonderful \'sense\' with their perceptions of our beings. It really is a very special relationship that is formed. I\'m thankful the two of you have each other.

You could make a case for the concept of using it several times a week, so she learns not to fear it. Just sayin\'
Ours notice the suitcases out & they know vacation is comming. They love it cuz they get to go to the \"resort\". LOL
