Four Reasons Why Having An Excellent Indoor Playground Is Not Enough

is?O9T6v89Kqqa9QLmA4xAfihHxFp92SljrR213_QVdukI&height=214If you reside in a place like we do in Western New York (we're in Rochester!) With superbly warm summers and cold snowy winters, childhood perceptions you'll understand that your choices for your kid's birthday celebration are largely dependent on the weather.
As an August baby, we always had little family parties outside at my residence. However, together with sons born in November and March, we are always left to reserve an indoor venue for their parties, if we chose to have them that season. While those with children with summer birthdays may seem lucky to have numerous options at their disposal, it can also often feel overwhelming.
While at Climbing Vines Cafe and Play we might be biased because we host indoor parties, I wished to discuss with you the 5 most common reasons we hear out of past celebration clients to reserve indoor summer birthdays with us. To them, the stress-free nature of the indoor summertime celebration is a no-brainer, plus they're not looking back! Following their first indoor summer celebration , they keep hosting with us year after year.

1) NO WEATHER WORRIES

The most common reason for a customer to reserve a summer indoor party with us is so they do not have to stalk the weather forecast for upgrades in the weeks leading up to the party. And if you've ever needed to cancel or postpone your kid's birthday because of weather, then you realize how heartbreaking that could be.
We receive dozens of calls every summer a few days before someone's outdoor celebration is supposed to take place to see if we have an open slot for them in our indoor celebration venue because of weather woes. We can usually pull this off if the place remains open, but hosts will unfortunately need to starve and allow all their guests are aware of the change in venue and likely change in time, and change all their catering requests to accommodate their new party program.
While of course rain is likely the biggest obstacle you may face, intense warmth, unseasonably cool weather, and wind may also pose problems to your food, decorations, along with your guests' belongings. You'll likely end up investing in a tent another weather barrier simply to ease your mind a bit, which can be costly and require a great deal of precious time to set up and take down. I won't even tell the story of this time my Dad put a tent up for a party in a windstorm and wound up with a insurance coverage for 4 damaged cars when it withdrew (weights and anchors and all!) ...

Besides the obvious weather worries you can avoid with a indoor celebration, there may also just be something so simple and lovely about an indoor summer celebration. Guests will not need to be worried about bringing towels and sunscreen and sunglasses and swimsuits and changes of clothes and bug spray... you understand.
Sometimes it's nice to take a short break from the outdoors, sip coffee in an air-conditioned cafe, and have a real conversation with other adults while the kids play, rather than chasing kids around trying to get their hat on them or keeping them away from your in-ground pool. I am not sure about you, but I can never really relax at an outdoor summer birthday celebration with a two and a 4 year-old. While they sure do have a fantastic time running around, we usually leave in a daze or using a tantrum, unsure whether we had time to chat or check in with everybody.
While I absolutely love a fantastic barbecue or summer grilling extravaganza, I also find it refreshing when we can take a rest from the same-old backyard bash and spend a few hours at a relaxing, cool, and most importantly-- included! -- atmosphere.
It is also freeing as a guest to have the rest of the day to do as we wish as a family and not need to worry about getting the kids to a tub right after the party or stopping home to cool off and change clothing.
I guarantee that in the event you book an indoor party for your son or daughter, guests (especially family) might appear a little confused at first (why not take advantage of the summer weather while we could, right?) But after hosting countless indoor parties I will tell you for certain that on the day-of, you and your visitors will realize how pleasant it is to reunite in an air-conditioned private party for a couple hours.

3) EATING IN PEACE

Speaking of how relaxing a indoor, air-conditioned party can be, how can we discuss food for a second?
Therefore, for our family, the meals factor alone would be sufficient to warrant an indoor party.
Eating in peace without having to find colour or a chair or a place away from pests is just one of those things that you do not realize can be so glorious until you attend your fourth or fourth outdoor summer gathering and after that get a break from them. One of the most common things we hear is how nice it's to sit and eat and watch the kiddos play with no any other venue-related cares or worries. This will be especially important if you are going to be having older family members attend who will battle with being portable in the sand or marijuana and finding seating at outdoor parties.

While celebration aesthetic might not be a deciding factor for each and every family, it sure is much simpler to make a themed extravaganza which lighting a youngster's face up as soon as the party's inside. The decorations demanded tend to be less because the place is smaller and contained contained, and you won't need to worry about balloons and streamers blowing about or securing table covers down.
Since we do host cellular events outdoors at Climbing Vines Cafe and Play, I can also speak from experience once I say the time it takes to install (and take down!) Decorations for an outside party compared to an indoor party generally ends up being at least double. Finding good places to hang banner, requiring two people to hold and secure everything, and locating weights or other restraints for everything can be a genuine hassle on celebration.
And you will have enough to worry about this afternoon, right?
Furthermore, if your own pinterest planks are filled with cute centerpieces, a candy bar, or anything which could possibly be impacted by wind (or bring bees!) You will likely have to restrategize for an outdoor soiree.
Not to mention decor typically can only get used once if used outside, but repurposed again and if used for an indoor event. Our guests who host indoor events, notably those who spent significant money into decoration or worked hard to make their very own, are pleased to find they could usually make a huge chunk of the money back by reselling their supplies something such as Facebook Marketplace.
5) YOU MAY ACTUALLY SAVE MONEY
Speaking of money, probably the greatest misconception I hear from customers is that they wish to host a party at their house to save themselves the rental fee of an indoor space. I generally laugh at this because it makes great sense, that is, if you have never hosted an outside party.
With all the"extras" like tents, seat rentals, extra decorations, weather reinforcements, clean-up provides, games and activities for the children (which you won't have to supply at a play place!) It is very possible you will end up spending MUCH more hosting a party at your house or an outdoor venue than you would inside.
I'm not sure how other indoor spaces manage their supplies, but we just charge guests for extra beverages and provides and these on the day of the celebration if they end up needing themand we also allow parties to attract in their OWN food, dessert, and decor if they choose!
Money aside, spending countless hours cleaning before, during, and after the party may also have a toll. Would not it be wonderful to walk into a sparkling clean space and depart with your guests once the party's over, not needing to worry about the cleanup, garbage removal, tent teardown, etc?
It's possible to just go home and relax with your loved ones (yes, possibly outside!)
Along with the time spent cleaning before and after the party, wouldn't it ALSO be nice to not need to play"host" throughout the event? Even for clients that make their own food and decor, our committed celebration assistants set everything up, refill and mend food and beverages as needed, clear plates, cut and serve the cake, and then pack up all the leftovers at the end of the celebration!
In the end, it is your child's special day and you want to spend those valuable hours making memories and visiting with your guests-- not running about chasing your decorations or refilling the fruit bowl countless times.
So save everybody (and especially your own family!) Lots of stress, time, and stress by booking your event with us summer time. We would be honored to provide you with an easy, enjoyable experience that will leave your entire guest list feeling joyful, grateful, and filled with love after having a relaxing (yet fun-filled!) day together.
