foreign people need to get a G.E.D. to go to university or college in usa//in lots of pain today
grumpy and in pain. dam. got so much done yesterday and today, its rainy i guess, but my back and shoulders are killing me. grrrr.
also swollen glands so that doesn't help either. working on new schedules because of summer vacations and its like summer is over anyway. all the school stuff is out.
if you are a foreigner and want to attend school in usa, even if you already have a university degree from your own country -- the easiest way to get into county college and not have any headaches with documents at all in the future, is to get a G.E.D. you can study for a G.E.D. by getting a G.E.D. prep book through thriftbooks.com or in the reference area of a library.
the G.E.D. tests are given right at every local county college nationwide and that diploma is registered with the state where you passed that G.E.D. test. there should be guidance counsellors to tell you this (though i know they often don't). i actually knew people with phd's from eastern block countries during college and waiting on documents was their biggest trouble. they go and get a G.E.D. and wait no more. everything was smooth sailing.
still locked out of facebook and they still want more and more documents. too weird. keep hoping it will just go away. they asked if i want a grievance counsellor from india. so is the hacker from india? wth?

g.e.d. tests are either free or super cheap. i also know of someone who did the whole thing on line. library cards are also free. and identification cards from division of motor vehicles only costs like $5 or something.
you can lead a horse to water but you can\'t make him drink. a lot of counsellors get world weary. they tell people what to do, because the claim is that they don\'t know how to go about it and then they don\'t do it anyway.
the ones that already have doctorates or any degree from their own country will ALWAYS return to school. they enjoy it. the other ones, what is that? even when led there, they still don\'t? what do they think will happen if they go to school, it doesn\'t bite. in college as long as you do your homework and research papers (start early) you will ALWAYS pass. its quiet and serious and everyone there is paying to be there so its set up for learning, its nothing like these corrals that they calls schools and aren\'t schools. ideally, there should be two teachers for every seven students in school. that is what better schools (the best private schools have) - generally a teacher and then a teacher assistant for the little kids.
That is absolutely crazy about Facebook. And weird. I think I would stay away from there it that happened to me.
I hope you feel better soon. I feel like I am an expert on pain lately, and it isn\'t any fun, that\'s for sure.
Hugs,
P.T.
