' For Faith - In Times Of Stress ' !

The LORD is my refuge in times of trouble.
(Psalm 9:9)
The Lord delivers me from all my troubles.
(Psalm 34:19)
He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
(Isaiah 40:29)
In my trouble I called upon the Lord: and the Lord heard me, and enlarged me.
(Psalm 118:5)
Psalm 27:4-5
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.
Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
(Psalm 55:22)
The Lord is my sun and shield, the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing will he withold from me as I walk up rightly.
(Psalm 84:11)
Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.
From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.
I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
(Psalm 61:1-4)
God has plans for me – to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Where can I go from your Spirit ?
Where can I flee from your presence ?
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
 (Psalm 139: 7, 9-10, 23-24)
He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved.
(Psalm 62:6)
“ Have I not commanded you ?
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
(Joshua 1:9)

The God who gives endurance and encouragement gives us a spirit of unity among ourselves as we follow Christ Jesus.
(Romans 15:5)
Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, ‘ I will never leave you or forsake you.’
So we can say with confidence,  ‘ The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me  '
 (Hebrews 13: 5-6)
The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.
(Psalm 28:7)
Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. Discipline yourselves, keep alert.
Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour.
Resist him, steadfast in your faith . . . . And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you.
(1 Peter 5: 7-10)
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.
Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow – not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
No power in the sky above or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 8:38-39)

When I was a little girl, I remember our church choir singing an anthem which said, \"Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain you.\" I also remember one which said, \"I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.\"

What a refreshing reminder in times like these, that our Father is still in control and cares for us!
Thanks Barb, for reminding us!

I like the way part of your post was a good reminder for me in that nothing can separate us fr our Lord, especially when there are times in life where you feel that this might be happening.
