It's FOOTBALL SUNDAY!!! :) woot! :) FALL HARVESTING POTATOES AND GRAPES! :)YUM!!! :) my family and i are enjoying a nice day, and this beautiful cooler, and sunny weather :) it really feels like fall season is beginning to arrive :) my dad and i harvested grapes, and some potatoes today! :) it was so nice! :) it was so chilly this morning, i almost needed a light jacket for my nature walk! :) wow! :) it's really setting in now, that Fall is near! :) Pumpkins, Apples, Scarecrows, and autumn leaves, sweet crisp air, and wholesome heart warming traditions, and festivities :) We look forward to celebrating the new season with everyone :) i've been enjoying the amazing harvesting season, picking tomatoes, peppers, string beans :) i love seeing all of the jars of salsa in the fridge :) i also love that very soon, we'll be harvesting lots more, including our Gourds Pumpkins :) The season continues to shine :) It's a Football Sunday! : )hut! hut! hike! :) TOUCHDOWN! :) i've got the football games on, and enjoying the spirit of this beautiful day :) i feel very excited, as i look forward to taking lots more nature pictures soon, of the birds, squirrels, and also, the blossoming of the fall foilage season, very soon :) Fall is my favorite! :) Family, Friends, Fun, Festivities, and Football! :) it's awesome!!! :) i continue to decorate my computer room, and halloween town :) it's looking BOO-eautiful! :) i have lots more decorating planned, for the upcoming week :) Thank you angel friends, for brightening our days, and for all that you do for us :) We cherish, and treasure your very special friendships :)
A SWEET FALL HARVEST! :) awww! :) hi angel friends, my dad and i blossomed into our gardens for a bit today, to enjoy some sweet wholesome harvesting! :) i am smiling lots! :) my dad said, "chris, wanna pick thos grapes, and check the potatoes!" :) i said, "Awesome! :) yes!" :) We picked our nice grapes, that have been growing on the vines :) the grapes are sweet, and smell really good! :) we got a nice crate/holder, to put the grapes on, and we also got our garden rake, we checked the burlap sack/bag, that we planted potatoes on, and began to see some potatoes coming up out of the soil! :) my mom came into the backyard, and watched as we got some potatoes! :) this was so cool! :) we're so happy and excited, to be harvesting! :) we have more potato plants to harvest soon :) this is a nice cool crisp day, and the spirit of fall is beginning to arrive! :) i took some nice pictures of our harvests today, to share with everyone :) We love these very special nature joys :)
FALL IS IN THE AIR! :) WOW! :) This morning, when i went outside, for my early morning nature walk, i felt that cool crisp air, the early morning dew upon our grass, plants, and cars, wow! :) it sure is feeling like fall season is beginning to arrive! :) our temperature had to be in the low 50's, or upper 40's this morning! :) That cool air, is so nice, refreshing, and really makes me want to have some apple cider, as the fall season is beginning to arrive beautifully :) i'm all set, and ready to dwelve into the new season, as i've been continuing to enjoy decorating for fall, and my halloween town :) it's coming along so well! :) i am absolutely thrilled!!! about sharing my decoratings/halloween town with everyone :) we're almost halfway through the month of September, and are cruising toward October! :) my halloween town is gonna have lots of new additions this year, including a new collectible haunted house decorative, that i've added, plus lots more :)
my family and i love the weekends, especially this time of the year :) it's a FOOTBALL SUNDAY today! :) We really get into the spirit of the games, cheering on the teams :) i love my Washington Redskins :) it's week 2, and there's been lots of games on today :) football sunday, it's time for a FOOTBALL PARTY!!! :) i made 2 baked salsa tortilla wraps, and a salad for gameday lunch :) i'm wearing my Redskins t-shirt, and Redskins jersey :) i called Holly, we enjoyed talking, and watching some football this afternoon :) the Redskins won today :) it was a rough game though for our starting QB, RG3, he hurt his ankle, and may miss lots of the season. they are saying, RG3 has dislocated/cracked ankle injury. many prayers, and well wishes for him, to make a full recovery. The Redskins backup QB, Kirk Cousins came into the game, and has helped the Redskins, to a victory today. :) it'll be very interesting, to see how the team moves forward, the rest of the season, and if RG3 will be able to return.
It's a really nice wholesome, and relaxing sunday too :) with some nature, and continued joys of the harvesting season :) we've been picking so many nice tomatoes, peppers, and string beans this season :) it's so amazing, how much the plants have produced :) i enjoyed making 5 more jars of fresh homemade salsa yesterday :) we've now made, a total of 16 jars of salsa :) we love having some salsa in the fridge :) i had some salsa with wheat crackers yesterday, it sure is delicious! :) to add a little extra spice to the salsa, i added in a little crushed red pepper :) it makes the salsa a bit spicy, but not too spicy, it's really good :) we still have some happy smiling sunflowers, in the garden, along with cosmos, nasturiums, marigolds :) it's wonderful to see the blossoms, that have been rewarding us with sunny smiles, all gardening season :) i love to see the plants continuing to do well, this time of the year :)
As the seasons change, we'll be getting ready for a beautiful new fall foilage season, and continued harvests, of potatoes gourds pumpkins, and more tomatoes and string beans too :) i see some sunflower seeds ripening up, they are mammoth sunflower seeds :) in about a week, i want to harvest the large mammoth sunflower, that grew next to our front steps in a planter :) the sunflower is loaded with huge seeds, which will be great for baking :) i'm excited, to enjoy the harvesting, and will make a special harvest/baking sunflower seeds journal, with pictures to share with everyone :) We're seeing more and more birds visiting our yard too :) my dad stocked up on bird seeds, and also some nice cracked corn, for the birds and squirrels :) i put lots of goodies outside this morning :)
i look forward to taking more pictures of the birds soon :) there's been lots of birds, visiting the nature bird sanctuary in our yard :) with the sun more to the east in the sky now, the bird sanctuary glows more and more, and will make for some great picture taking opportunities in that area of our yard :) some of the squirrels, have been visiting our garden, enjoying some sunflower seeds, the golden finches enjoy the seeds too :) they eat lots of the other sunflower seeds, that grow naturally :) it's really nice, they love the harvesting season too :) i'm really thrilled, to enjoy this peaceful, wholesome nature, that shines, each and every day, rain or shine :) we did get some nice nourishing rain yesterday evening, it was awesome, and replenishing for the plants :) i think about how very soon, the trees will begin to change colors :) my family and i love to go for car rides, this time of the year :) seeing the trees change colors, is like a natural nature garden :)
i'll definitely be taking many pictures of the fall foilage season, all throughout the fall season :) i love getting the opportunity, each chance i get, to go out for car rides with my family, getting a nice iced coffee, and just sight seeing, and taking pictures :) Fall is definitely ready, to come to New England :) here in my computer room, i've began a special countdown to fall season too :) i've been decorating for fall, and also my halloween town :) i've decorated the complete border area of my halloween town, and now have began to put some big time decorating touches, on my halloween town :) i have all 3 of my halloween trees, on my table here, and this upcoming week, will be adding in, more and more decorations :)

My day was buzy tootling around the farm then FINALLY canning up the sauerkraut I\'ve been wanting to do... NOW it\'s the waiting--8 weeks till it is then canned in a hot water canning. I\'m glad that I\'ve cleared out the fridge of the produce that needed to be process there, and NOW it\'s on to APPLES!!! I\'m also still looking for somebody to mow the farm now that the person who said he would do it backed out today... It\'ll work out soon...

Giants lost! Bears and 49er\'s are playing now. Man those grapes and potato\'s look amazing! Fresh home grown food.. Can\'t get any better than that! Fall is definitely not here yet.
