Foods that I eat now, some on a more daily basis.
Breakfast is always plain porridge with a banana and a pinch of salt.
Snacks are usually a low fat low salt plain cracker with bean spread or non gluten chia bread/white bread with a small amount of butter or melon.
Lunch and dinner is basically the same. Very well cooked carrots, cabbage, spinach, sweet potatoes, potatoes, butternet squash (only in pureed soups,) mushrooms (on occasion,) parsnips (on occasion usually mashed with carrots,) broccoli, celery (but it doesn't seem to sit too well since it is very hard to get it super soft unless in a stew,) parsley, arrowroot (I use this to make gravy from the water of the vegetables i boil and the chicken. Actually seems to help soothe my stomach this way.) Chicken, sometimes turkey. I can not stand plain cod so I don't bother with fish. Salmon use to sit well but being on this strict diet I cut it out due to fat content. The only thing in this catorgory I put butter on is if I do mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes.
I juice a carrot and cabbage daily and drink one cup of it per day. Any more and the side effects of cabbage are too much.
I do at times drink coconut water, but I drink more while I am running around town doing errands for 2-3 hrs and I drink one of those small portions but by the time I get home my stomach hurts, so I am not sure if it is the coconut water or just my stomach being empty so long.
The bean spread is something I make. It's a bag of mixed dried beans/peas and I sit them for 24 hr then boil them for more than they say to do, usually two hours, scoop the white suds off the top, drain them, puree them with some olive oil and a bit of salt. It tastes great, not sure of any complications with my stomach yet though.
On occasions (maybe one a day or one every two days) if my cravings are super high I may have one non gluten shortbread cookie. Doesn't seem to effect me.
I eat no gluten, no soy, no milk, no chocolate, no added sugars. I have also completely stopped taking Splenda which I have read could cause a lot of the symptoms I already have.
My daily vitamin intake would be, atm, Gastromend and a probiotic. Multi vitamins kill my stomach. I take Lansoprazole twice a day, mg depends on day, as well but weaning myself off of them. I also take Gaviscon Advance if needed.
