Food Temptations of a Teacher in May

Let's see, it started with having to buy donuts for the retirement breakfast.  I am happy to report that I did not partake from the entire table of goodies.  I ate my soy yogurt, granola and mint green tea for my mid-morning snack.  I already had my fruit smoothie and matcha tea for breakfast, so I was feeling pretty good for ignoring the breakfast spread.
Fast forward to the EOY picnic.  There we have pizza, sodas, chips and cookies.  Instead, I ate my tofurkey sandwich, salad and water.  I also did several perimeter checks, monitored capture the flag and played nurf gun wars with the kids (okay, that was really awesome!).  I earned over 10,000 steps on my Moves App.  That is a record!
We finish off with the "GIANT CHOCOLATE BAR" that my homeroom won from the chocolate fundraiser.  It had to be cut into bite sized pieces and handed out.  We have lots of extra so we get to enjoy it again tomorrow!  ugh!
That was just today.  We had teacher appreciation week a couple of weeks ago, an upcoming EOY nacho lunch on Thursday, two retirement receptions in a week and countless edible teacher gifts.  It is like walking in a food minefield!
