food bonus missing, had to call entire branch of people to find this. grrrrr
It warmed up today again to around 75 degrees. Catching up on sleep. Sooooo much work to do at the house, that is all i think as soon as i get there. Already went outside and pruned. When Bobp gets here i need him to cut branches as well. hope the weather stays like this - warm and on the dryer side so we can really finish things outdoors - then there is more anyway.
one of the food gifts is missing, so had to call around to locate it. who the hell steals a christmas present/bonus and its the same guy that stole it last time 7 years ago. grrrr. back then we thought it was the former supervisor making trouble because that supervisor LOVED to create drama - would falsely accuse people of "anything" on purpose to set everything off kilter and cause fights, he'd give people things that belonged to other people as though it were a gift coming from him, pick fights and pick physical fights - total bullying. it was like everyone murmuring to each other - you realize he is crazy don't you? like the guy on that old movie with the strawberries on the ship - Caine Mutiny, The Missing Strawberries. Executive officer Maryk (Van Johnson) narrating from his diary, recording concerns about Captain Queeg (Humphrey Bogart), who launches his famous inquiry about fruit. It was like that around here for a couple of years until the main office got on his case about acting like that and finally he was gone. or he would sit there laughing saying, wonder if i'll get away with this one. total psycho. what a weird way to live.
they said he acted like that because he was in a job that he wasn't qualified to do and was very nervous anytime he was at work and nervous about people taking his job, so he kept things nuts, so that people were always leaving. he would also hide instructions to things so no one else would know how things were supposed to be. very strange. offices are usually the exact opposite and have an office manual at every desk. but his kids said that his lack of ability wasn't the reason. they said he was always a bully, super rude and condescending to them for no reason and a total saboteur. he would scream like a banchee at them over the phone right at the office, it was embarrassing just to hear it, and in person if he saw them. that got to the point where they wouldn't take his calls and told him outright never to visit either. always drama.
so this old guy - i asked him yesterday, did he get his food and he says yes. he says did i get mine and i say yes i came over and got it. the fridge was full so they were calling everyone to see if they could come in and get it to make space. i see the fridge is empty and it should have one more in it. i say, did the other guy get his because there should be ONE more in here for when he is working. the old guy still says NOTHING. so i call everyone in our branch today because the last guy did NOT get his and nothing is there and its like de ja vu from 7 years ago. i call old guy as well and ask him again, and he says he got his. i say its strange because there is one missing. he still says nothing.
30 minutes later he calls back and he says he took it. he has it at his house. he says he thought it was an extra one. REALLY?! so why didn't you say the first two times you were asked about it that you took TWO?! why didn't you check or anything, just took it? and i think back to last time when the former supervisor was still here and we figured it was him again causing trouble. except the former supervisor isn't here anymore and has been gone for over five years. and here we are and its the same old guy TAKING what doesn't belong to him AGAIN. he says he came in when he was called to get one and then the next day when he was working, one of the other employees asked him if he got his, so he took another one. REALLY?! does that honestly make sense to you? seriously?
at least he brought it back and at least it ended the drama. he honestly thought its NORMAL to take an extra $65 worth of food. wonder if it will happen again next year with names stuck on each one, as we will try that next. grrrr. these people are "adults" and this shit still goes on? that old guy ends up pissing me off, no matter how little he is here.
now we have another older guy pulling crap - this other one just turned 60 - i don't remember him acting like this that often before that. but c says it was going on the whole time. he will go on the internet on social media and not even turn it off if a manager or a client is around. he doesn't seem to comprehend that he is here to work and if you point out to him that he is here to work and nothing else he gets pissed at YOU. lol. wth? what does he think he is being paid for? seriously? i know that is happening at a lot of offices nowadays but its driving me crazy and he is loading up with mistakes and not facing it or trying to correct it. grrrr.
our new area supervisor wants to breathalyze him as well because he smells like alcohol when he comes in. so i need to hire an extra person in case that happens plus we have been short-handed ever since one of the guys went in for cancer treatment this passed spring. i'm beginning to see why some places force retirement. seriously. and the older ones don't "care" because they know this is probably their last job unless they open a business of their own, or a business at a flea market like some of the older ones do - or try to do. or go into something where age doesn't matter as much like basic insurance sales or amway or something. Plus many of them are already collecting social security so the pride in their job thing goes right out the window because they have other income - it doesn't matter to them what happens.
i really need to take a gerontology class. but i said this to mike who owns an assisted living and he insists its not old age. he says they start out like that. its just more noticeable as the person ages.
nothing else going on. headed to the marina with a.

also, this same old guy stole the sweets that were brought in by other employees last year. this guy is klepto. i came in and said, where are all the cookies? he had to go out to his car to get them and bring them back. same bull shit with him. he says, well, e mentioned they were here so i thought i should take them. hmmmm and the other ten people that work at this branch? wth? what a grinch.
the other guy says to me what happened with the food and i told him who it was AGAIN the same person, and its like so he honestly thought that less than ONE DAY after they gave out the food for everyone and allll the other employees haven\'t come in yet, that he should be taking food home, does that honestly make sense to him. and i wonder what else is he stealing? he also slanders and false accuses people every year. disgusting person.
he also did this his first year here when i brought in cookies from publix bakery. he said back then the former supervisor told him to take them because the former supervisor thought the old guy brought them in. the former supervisor used to do stuff like this on purpose and by accident and it always caused a LOT of chaos. did it ever occur to you old guy, to SAY you didn\'t buy those? or why are you telling me to take them. the former supervisor always denied any of it was his fault unless he was in a confessional mood and then he would sit there laughing that he caused so much chaos but hasn\'t lost his job yet. he enjoyed that he was a menace.
but here we are many years after the former supervisor was here and the old guy is STILL taking things that don\'t belong to him. its sickening.
a says to me, they thought it was him because he is broke right now, didn\'t they. i said to him, i called every single person on our branch list. it is horrifying that people assume any person that is broke or poor must be guilty of crime, when the exact opposite is actually the truth. people who steal, steal because they enjoy stealing. it has nothing to do with whether they have money or not. mooching is the same as stealing, they (moochers) just like to call it something else, the truth is its stealing. most people who are broke or poor are broke, are broke because of being robbed. its people with money who actually make a career or religion of stealing, but they don\'t call it stealing they call it embezzlement or misappropriation of funds, amazing how nice they are to themselves with that. face it rich person, you are a thief just as a pick pocket is a thief, actually you are worse because you take MORE and destroy lives with what you steal.
people who steal small things also steal big things. the more they get away with it the more they steal and then they start the nastier stuff like murder and rape, forgery, poisoning, fraud, and the worst crime of all false witnessing, saying someone innocent committed a crime or said something they never did or never said. disgusting people. it never stops. if they would make all crime a death penalty it would stop crime right there. or even easier, give the death penalty to people who make up lies about other people, because that is really where it begins, it would end all crime worldwide if they would do that.
