Food allergies

You know what I think is absolutely hilarious? When people don't believe me when I tel them I'm allergic to cinnamon. No, seriously, I'm not being facetious. It's hysterical when they ask me over and over. I have to fight to keep from laughing when they offer me a cinnamon bun after I've explained my allergy. It's funny when they try to trip me up and get me to say I'm not actually allergic. And just knowing that almost nobody believes me until they've seen me accidentally eat something with cinnamon in it? Classic.
I know it's not the most common allergy, but come on, people. I'm not going to lie about being allergic to a common food item and restrict my diet unnecessarily. I've cut out most desserts, anything with apples, and things I don't recognize. It keeps me from trying new things, which is great because I'm a traditionalist and absolutely abhor anything different.
Oh, and when I pass on the donuts because some of them are cinnamon-sugar and you guys think I'm lying about how bad things are? Yeah, well, just the smell of that box makes my heart triple its beat rate. I'm a huge fan of heart attacks, really, so you know what? I'll just try one.
Hey, that may be the best way to commit an untraceable suicide ever: eating an apple pie with cinnamon in it. I'll have a heart attack and everyone will think it was an accident.
