Following J.O.Y.... still
makes me tired. but it's worth it. i ran all over town today and had a good time doing so. i started painting the kitchen sage colored like the office and the living room accent wall. it is going to look good, i think.
and i painted the original mail box that goes with this house a dark copper/ brown color. i hope it will look okay in the entry of the kitchen.
i just started the trimming out of the kitchen, but i do enjoy rolling so it won't be a big deal. omgosh the ceiling needs painted really badly. i will have to do it . maybe i will get anna to help me... but it is SO dingy and bad. i got a new kitchen ceiling
"farmhouse" styled light fixture. it will look nice. it will match the backsplash and the mail box.
hubs and i went to Lowe's and looked at galvanized steel. we are going to maybe try to put it in ourselves. i think it will look awesome in the kitchen. and help it look very "farmhousey"....
i will work just a little at a time. that's the only way i can do it... but that's okay. at least i'm very happy. i'm always happy when i am creating something... sewing, painting, playing music, ... traveling... doesn't matter. i am happy.
so...
following joy.... it makes me feel alive.

Attempts to earn a living with my painting skills nearly spoiled the joy for me, but I love wall painting, both inside and out. The methodical labor in between artistic flourishes is high on my list of healing meditations. Even when the color schemes disappoint me, I am still rewarded with a hygienic seal over last year's blooper stains and a fresh start for the walls.

Brush up. Brush down. Brush left. Brush right.
Don't make it more work than it has to be.
Let the brush handle the flow.
I sleep so-o-o-o-o good after a full day of physical labor. . .
