Follie Update & Crazy RE Story
I saw my RE today - so far I have 6 small follicles on my right and one on my left. My cyst has gone from 42mm to 17mm, so I was really relieved to hear that and that we will be able to continue this cycle. The bad news is that because my clinic has this shared RE approach, I don't really have one doctor, they all work together and today I saw the dr. who I like the least. Unfortunately, although they claim to all be on the same page, each RE has given me different information and protocols and it can get very confusing and frustrating. I got a call from one of the nurses after my appt and got so frustrated because I've gotten such conflicting information, that I actually threw her an attitude (that's unlike me) and complained to her. And on top of that, I have a story for you all that you will not believe, but I assure you it's the truth. So usually I have u/s from the sono techs, but today I got *lucky* and the RE who I don't care for did it. First let me say that english is not his first language, and he has a very thick accent so you should remember that for what I'm about to tell you.....so he takes the transvaginal wand, aims it and says to me, and I kid you not, "Is this where?" and starts to push the wand around my vagina, but not really in it. I was like WTF, dude, are you for real right now?!? Within a matter of seconds he had the wand in there and all was fine. I sat there thinking, did that just happen, or am I imaging this, or maybe I misunderstood him?!? This seems like an impossibility, right!? I have to believe that he meant to say something else but the language barrier got the better of the situation. I mean, there is absolutely no way he could have been confused as to where my vagina was. I also think maybe I wasn't quite "ready" and in proper stirrup position so he couldn't really get a good lay of the land, so to speak. Either way, my confidence level here is not too good and I'm praying this is not the dr. who does my retrieval. There are a few other REs who I love and hope to work only with them going forward. I'm not out to set any records here, but have you ever heard of an RE who couldn't get the wand in the right spot!?!?
Anyway, I go back Monday for monitoring and more bloodwork and if all goes well, hopefully ER will be a week from tomorrow.
Hope you are all doing well no matter where you are in your cycles. To those that have shared good news this week: congratulations!!! And to those waiting for their BFPs or getting ready for ER or transfers, much sticky baby dust to you all!!
Enjoy your weekends.

First off what great numbers on a mini cycle !!!! Plus I\'m so happy the cyst is going away.
Now WTF, I would have been like excuse me are you for real !!!! I would mentionto the clinic that youvwould rather not see him again. I know my clinic has the same type of approach and I had requested not to see one RE and they were able to accomodate.
Hope things keep looking good.
Hugs
Wow! I didn\'t realize clinics did shared RE. I have one RE and one nurse.... That\'s plenty for me lol. I would over think things if too many people were involved. I hope you can get rid of him!
wow those are great numbers..and great that the cyst is smaller..good luck with everything sending prayers ur way
I agree with Roxy, yiu should say you would prefer not to see this RE going forward. You are paying too much money to play hide and go seek with your lady bits! Congrats on another great cycle though :-)
My clinic has shared REs too. I had one who did all my consults and most of my visits, as well as my transfer, a different one who did my retrieval, and the other guy was there for some of my checkups. Yeah, it\'s irritating! Usually you can find out who\'s on a certain shift. Hopefully you can schedule for a day that this guy isn\'t there!
My clinic is the same, every RE sees you. Some I am more fond if than others. I think you should definitely request to not see this RE again. His behavior is just ridiculous even with the language barrier.
Congratulations on all the follies!!! It\'s amazing how many you create with a mini-IVF cycle. It\'s great that the cyst is decreasing too. All good news. Keep us updated on your folly growth
WTF?! I would\'ve been livid. Are you serious?! Hopefully, like the other lades said, you can try to schedule on days/times when that RE isn\'t there.
You know what? I would just tell the clinic office/business manager what happened. If you say it like you told us, they may decide to keep him away from you because of fear you\'ll take further action. The words, \"Is this where?\" make zero sense. I\'m going to mentally go with him just saying that to mean he had trouble with the wand and your position as opposed to him doing something sick and gross and inappropriate! Ewwww! You poor thing!
Not sure how I missed this update! Glad this cycle is moving along well.....so sorry about creepy creepy RE though! I agree w the other girls, get rid of him ASAP!
SO I am just getting caught up here. Hope your appointment went well monday and that ER is this weekend!
I can not beleive that Dr! I agree with everyone else, I would talk to the office manager or something and try to see if you can avoid having him again. WTF, thats creepy and weird and unprofesional.
Good luck with the rest of this cycle!
