Flecainide/Toprol continues to work. I have been in NSR for 2 years and five months. No side effects. My diet is still caffeine and alcohol limited. I have one cup of coffee per day and one beer per week. Not a bad requirement for staying in NSR.
Flecainide/Toprol( or metoprolol) continues to work provided I dont have even a sip of alcohol. As of Jan 2013 my tolerance for alcohol has dropped from 1-3 beers per week to no beers per week. During the last two months while discovering this new limitation Flecainide reversed the afib caused by the beer or wine I had. This new alcohol limitation is a step down in my hearts performance. I am not srue what it means yet. I still can tolerate some caffeine.

I have now been AFIB free for 2.5 years. Yay for Flecainide,Lisinopril and TOprol.
