Five Words

Five Words

It’s true there is nothing
That You don’t see,

There is no darkness
You can’t make flee,
I want to be with You,
I need Your strength,
Please guide my words,
What I do, what I think.

Please let a hedge
Of protection surround
This child I pray for
On unsteady ground.
Please strike the sickness
From inside her cells,
Please make her healthy,
And happy, and well,
In body and spirit,
Lift her up high,
To Your faith and Your love,
For the rest of her life.

Please fill her heart
With the fullness of love,
The only true kind,
Which You send from above.
Please fill her mind
And her soul with healing,
Please hold her close
Through all she’s feeling,

Please, eternal God,
I pray,
That she will be healed,
And be healthy one day,
I pray it is soon,
And the happiness true,
That she, in her wellness,
Will turn and feel You.
Please tell her You love her,
Tell her You’re here,
You’re with her, You know her,
There’s nothing to fear.
In darkness and doubt,
I look only to You,
For You are eternal,
And Yours is the truth.

For Kinsey, I have
Five more words to say:
Please bless and protect her.
I humbly pray.
Amen.
