FIVE PEOPLE you should never bother to know
1. She/He gets violent, even if she/he doesn’t hit you.
You may think this is a no-brainer but honestly it isn’t. Most people who’ve been in abusive relationships have immense strength, only to shut down in the presence of anger and violence. No healthy relationship can exist on a foundation of fear because you never know when/what action will bring on violence.
2. She/He is a cheater
Many people will say this point is debatable because lots of people cheat. This isn't just cheating with another person, but cheating in general, at all or most things. It’s not the act of cheating that’s the deal breaker here; it’s the disrespect, broken trust, a person who cheats, is a person who steals and stealing from one person means you steal from all people, just a matter of time. Stealing is a form of bullying, which leads back to "violence". Cheating by seeing other people is a risk to your health. (Hello, STDS!)
Its inconsiderate and selfish when a person cheats. Do you want someone who puts their wants before honesty or other people? Who is this person, if everything they are is cheated, fake and fraud? There is no security nor trust around a cheater, ergo there is no relationship.
3. She/He doesn’t claim or proclaim you
Many people will spend time in limbo-like relationships with people who won’t give them the boyfriend/girlfriend or even friend title. Here’s the truth: If you’ve been dating for longer than six to nine months and there is no official name for what the two of you are, it’s time to MOVE ON. Stop making excuses for why things aren’t progressing to the next level or any level; you’ll only waste time and time is everything there is. TIME is the most valuable thing we as people have. Which is why every country on the planet has fought for freedom forever, to have control of all of their own time and what they do with it.
4. She/He suffers from addiction(s)
There are plenty of honor badges to be earned by standing by someone. But "CAUTION" - if you choose to stick with a person fighting demons, namely addiction. Addiction can range from less-severe, like cigarettes, to major issues such as drug, alcohol, sexual deviants or gambling. Someone who suffers from addiction(s) will do anything — and I mean anything — to get their fix, even at the expense of all the people/living things around them and all material things that they or other people own. So unless you like being bullied and ruined ‘leave smoke.’
5. She/He gaslights you (there is no worse person than a gaslighter. this is the bottom of the barrel).
Gas-lighting is the manipulative act of someone attempting to change your memory or perception of events - Head games or worse. Trying to make you feel crazy or like you’ve forgotten something. Gas-lighting is a deal breaker the moment it happens!
A person who resorts to manipulation will continue to play mind games and be dishonest forever. Gas lighters never improve and never change. A gas-lighter is a mental case and misery loves company. They want YOU to end up as screwed up as they are and become extremely frustrated and violent when that doesn't happen. Their entire agenda from the beginning is to hurt and/or destroy you.
When I experienced gas-lighting in my relationships, I felt crazy and my self-esteem plummeted -- some people become suicidal from being gas-lighted, if that victim dies, a gas-lighter is then also a murderer (and most gas-lighters are murderers if anyone bothered to check their history). When I understood the game that was being played, I was okay and got out. Take advantage of the situation of being gas-lighted and leave immediately — it’s the best thing you can do for yourself. Gas-lighters are extremely dangerous people and dangerous people know other deranged and dangerous people. They are the epitome of a toxic person.
