Fissuring II
The fissuring continued yesterday, but I am feeling cautiously confident that I was able to keep it contained far enough to do what needed to be done without slopping over to the over-compensation I reflexively go to when I am in episode. There isnae much doubt in my mind that I have created far more damage with over-compensation than neglect. Anything worth doing is worth over-doing. Damn!! why is the soup too salty?
The electrical contractor here at the ranch post-poned yesterday's work at nearly the same time that I was dealing with the Fire Department code violations from the River Region Breach of Contract. Panic City, but I worked through the panic attacks with what I hope was reasonable grace. Best beloved sis didn't run off screaming from my reactions. That's a good sign. Alas, there's no way of knowing what the Fire Department officials said about me after I hung up the phone. Just breathe.
Once I got past the panic, I reasoned that the big diff between this contractor and the breached contractor is that this contractor informed me ahead of time the particulars of the delay. I didn't have to sit with idle promises until time alone let me know I had been stonewalled by unexplained yaddahs.
The missing link for the electrical work happened yesterday. They were lacking a 3rd party pre-work inspection to assure it is reasonably safe to dig the trenches for the electrical lines to the two barns. Life willing, the truck pulling the trencher will be pulling up the quarter mile slope of the driveway in an hour or three. Prayers in progress.
Another flashback trigger to the breach of contract is the potential need to post-pone another family gathering. Best beloved sis wants to visit the Urban Homestead and her nephews, etc., while she is here. This weekend is our last opportunity for that before she heads back to her care-giver work on the East Coast. We have yet to discover if the delay in the electrical work will interfere with our plans to make the 3 hour drive after that job is done. We see what grows.
Just breathe. Small steps, big faith and lots of prayer.

Hello! Oh, how nice it must be to live in such chaos :-) I have a hard time with the salt shaker at times too. Best beloved sis is really blessed to be nearby you now, while so much is going on, surely she is a help for you :-) I take deep breaths with you now, okay? And I will prayer very strictly for the Lord to guide you to relief with the ranch (I love a ranch), and the electrical contractor, and the fire department, and the pre-work inspection and the driveway...and the pesky whatevers...I pray for all for you to stay in focus :-) And the salty soup...it's in there too! Prayer, yes. :-)
You are cared for, dear one. :-)<3 (((hug to you!)))
Just sitting here to breathe and pray with you for a moment~ sounds like progress on all fronts actually, especially in your mindset of the situations themselves. Glad you are enjoying visiting with your sis. Triple hugs my friend
