First Workout 12/29/2013
So I did my first real workout with weights in about 6 weeks. I kept it light but it felt good to move again. It reminded me that some pain is actually good pain.
The chronic pain feels more like a burning now but it's no worse then before the workout so I feel confident that I can at least get back into doing my regular workouts just with lighter weights and less time on the treadmill until I can build myself back up.
Feeling the good pain helps me tolerate the bad pain a bit better. Still not happy about it but I'll take any extra tolerance I can get.
I have to believe this chronic pain is God's way of perparing or teaching me for something in the future. It seems every tragic event in my life has taught me something that I could use later in the future.
I'm going to keep my journal up to date so one day when I figure out what I was supposed to learn I can refer back to this journal and say "oh, that was my lesson!" I hope I can move past this chronic pain someday. Waking up everyday pain free would be a dream come true...
