First Week of Prison
Cole got sent to "DA VILLE"- they call it the "Jungle" and "Gladiator School"...
I'm shocked but shouldn't be really. Even though they sent him to 1 of 3 worst prisons in Indiana- at least we have some credit for him. I never thought owning the bail bonds business would be what kept him safe inside- Thank God for all the people we bail out of jail that remembers us.
WE have 1 year and 43 days left; one day at a time we can do this- sometimes it will be one minute at a time.
I have to put out of my head the fact my son is living in a hell hole; with broken toilets, 1 shower with no lights, black mold, broken out windows, ceilings missing and pipes exposed..My God!
I swear the day he gets released; IDOC I promise you a team of lawyers and a lawsuit that will change the health and sanitary conditions at the prison for every inmate that follows my son through those doors- can you say CLASS ACTION! I understand doing time should not be easy, but last time I checked they are American's and the 8th Amendment to US Constitution applies, "no man shall bear cruel and unusual punishment."

WRite to the Oumbudsman and file a complaint. Send a copy to the local news channel, governor and state representative. Tell them about your son\'s exposure to these harmful conditions. I am praying for you and your family.
That\'s terrible it is like that. I hope you get some action on that. But isn\'t it sad that we can\'t ever do anything while they are in, or it can make things worse for them??
We don\'t have an ombudsmen, or a prisoner\'s advocate. The state felt it wasn\'t worth the money. Hence my username, ihatewisconsin. The inmates are to use a GUARD as a advocate. Oh yea that would work well!!!
A guard- wow! That\'s terrible. I hate Indiana but Wisconsin sounds worse :(
It is. That\'s why I insist we move as soon as we can.
