First week

So it's been a week since I've traded in the 'ole Lovan and switched to Avanza. I've been on Avanza before, but I don't remember whether it worked well or not. It was like 7 or 8 years ago and I was in a very very bad place, so I think I was just looking for a miracle pill. This time around Avanza is well... I'm not sure really. It has boosted my appetite through the roof to ridiculous standards. I feel like I'm always hungry every waking moment whereas before I was lucky if I had one whole meal in a day. Now I want breakfast, snack, morning tea, snack, lunch, afternoon tea, snack, dinner, snack, dessert and a last snack before bed. Oh and I drink so much! Before I was lucky if I had 375ml of liquid in a day. Now it can be anywhere between 3 times to 4 times that. I'm pretty sure I could finish off a 2 litre bottle of Coke in a day the way it is now. It's horrible because I'm not like this, and I really overspent this week in the food department.
I figured I'd have something for breakfast so I wasn't hungry during shopping so I grabbed a smoothie at Wendy's but it didn't work. I mean I bought Fairy Floss (wtf?). I'm so embarrassed with what I bought. I hope the check out operator thought I was having a party or had a lot of kids or something. Anything but the truth. I mean it's bad enough with the cats when I have to buy 100 cans of cat food. But all that junk food... I hope these side effect subside very soon otherwise I'm going to end up weighing a tonne. Not cool... Not cool at all.
I might have a dog soon. I'm afraid to hope. After I lost Odie it's been so hard. I miss his company. So I went to the RSPCA today to see if any dogs were on death row. There was one dog but he looked like part doberman and I can't have anything bigger than a beagle. I still would've taken the doberman dog though, because mum would've taken him than have him put to sleep, but the lady said that he was honestly uncontrollable and climbed out of six foot fences. I know that lady and she wouldn't say something like that unless it was the honest to God truth. She hates putting animals to sleep. She's even admitted to me that she goes home some nights and just has to drink wine and cry until she falls asleep. I really love that woman - in a non-gay way. She reminds me so much of my ideals and of my mum's personality (when she's not on the booze). I hate that she has such a job, but at the same time I'm glad someone is there who cares for the pets when they go.... Such a waste of life :(
Anyway onto happier subjects there were also two dogs that had just come in and I need to give them a call on Tuesday as I might have either one or both of them. Also mum said there is a little maltese terrier that a friend has and they have to get rid of it because they want to travel around Australia. So there's three maybes at the moment. I hope I get a dog soon. I miss having someone to go to town with, and going on walks with.
Today while I was driving I came down a semi-busy road and this cat was creeping closer towards the traffic. So I did a quick u-turn and called the cat over. Luckily he came right over, but he didn't have a collar or anything. So I put him in the car and took him to my vet where they checked him for a microchip, which thank goodness he had. So the vet phoned the owner to let her know her cat had been picked up. He was such a sweet cat. His name was Red. I hope he has good owners. He seemed healthy enough except his ears were deformed because of past hematomas. I would've liked to meet his owners. In my imagination I kind of dreamed up that this lady was alone like me and was so frantic because her cat was missing that she'd wanna be best of friends and we could chat about our cats, and the price of cat food, and just stupid little things that didn't matter to anyone but us. I have to realise though that no one is probably like me. I'm an enigma.
I don't fit into any labels or any social groups. I'm an outsider. I've been an outsider as long as I can remember. Even when I did have friends at school it was like we were moving to a different beat. This sure wasn't what kind of life I dreamt up when I was a kid.
Well I am really, really tired. Starting to crash to be honest. So I think I'll end it here and say goodnight to all.

Night,Lauren.
