First time for everything
OK, so I'm new at this. Being a mom an being a mom with a daughter with hydrocephalus. Before her I didn't know what that even was. Since my daughter has been born which she is now 2, but it has been an uphill battle. From doctor visits to neuro, physical therapy etc. She is 2 and networking cause she has overtone in one leg. It's hard as a mom because I want her to be like other children, I don't want her to look at me like "mommy why am I different"? I mean her father an I will explain to her, but there are no other children around us that has this condition.I have been looking for a mothers support group in my area who has children with hydrocephalus. However, as a first time mom it can very hard. I try to educate myself about it an even tho she is 2 I still don't know everything there is to know. Like I don't know if she is hurting, headache, or not feeling good, cause she isn't fully talking but she talks a little. Lord please be with me an my family. My daughter if you look at her looks very normal you wouldn't even know she has a shunt unless you run your fingers through her hair. But I have faith in god, cause she is my miracle baby girl an I love her so very much!
