First pregnancy ultrasound
More great news! We just got back from my first ultrasound at 6w5d. Baby is measuring at .8cm and HR is 117bpm. These seem pretty typical based on the research I've done. How about the rest of you? Were your numbers similar? Should I worry? All signs are positive so far and I'm starting to get some early symptoms -- sensitivity to smells, mild nausea, some headaches (mostly during week 4), fatigue (wanna go to bed immediately after dinner and am fighting off heavy eyelids by 7pm). Despite all the good news, I'm still so darn guarded! I even keep updating my goal status of "get[ting] pregnant before 38," but am unwilling to slide the progress bar to 100%, even though I AM, by all accounts, pregnant! I wish I wasn't such a Nervous Nelly and so hesitant, but I can't seem to help it.
I've also been advised to stop my Crinone progesterone suppositories when I run out on Wednesday. This, too, makes me extremely nervous, as I'll only be 7 weeks along. Most girls are on their progesterone until 8-12 weeks! Oy, so many things to think about. Us IF gals never are able to let our guard down, I suppose.
Still, I'm extremely happy and have been referred back to my regular obstetrician. I'll see the nurse midwife this Friday. Yippee! Hooray!!!

Definitely good news! I totally understand what you mean about being guarded and almost is disbelief I guess you can say? I haven\'t updated my goal either to 100% yet lol I was waiting till I get transferred over to my regular ob & I hear the heart beat for myself. Crazy I know but I guess we\'re just not used to good things happening ;) but I can say I am ready for good things to continue to happen. I would definitely take the stopping the crinone as a very good sign of more good things to come for you! We have to trust that these amazing drs that got us this far know what they are doing & celebrate it girl! You\'re doing/having great progress and I know there is more good news to come. Enjoy the ride!! :)
That\'s awesome! At that stage we had a HB of 110 and I was told anything over 100 is what they want. Also, seeing a heart beat in a good range drops your miscarriage rate down. I didn\'t know that at first, but every week that goes by the chances get better and better, not just at 12 weeks. :)
You will be nervous for your little one for the rest of your life now :) I\'m 17 weeks and 2 days away from my next appointment and I have a huge lump in my throat. I thought by now I would be calm, but I\'m still nervous. Aren\'t we a fun bunch! :)
I was told to go off Progesterone at around 8 or so weeks, but it made me nervous, so I stayed on till about 10 weeks and weaned my self off it. If it makes you feel better, go ahead and do the same. It\'s pretty common with IVF ladies to stay on longer for the comfort.
Good luck on Friday!!
So glad you got to see your little and hear its heartbeat! Like MRS, I\'m still a nervous wreck every time I go in for an US, and I\'m 20 weeks. I think that comes with the IF/IVF territory. Do what you think is best regarding the suppositories. I was so excited to be off them, I threw away the applicator and didn\'t look back, but I was kept on until 10 weeks. You may find that you love not dealing with all of its lovely side effects and go off it on Day 1 ;) Good luck on Friday, and keep us posted.
Yay I am so happy for you!!! May this year bring us all that good news!!!
