First Night
Persilly and I spent the night in the new-to-us house last night. In chronological fact, the original part of the house was built in 1951. Nobody knows when the addition was built. Girl howdy, the old place has allot to say and talks loud enough to penetrate my hearing problems. Perhaps the greatest consolation of hearing loss is that there are quite allot of noises in this world which are better unheard.
Still, it is a small cinderblock design on a slab foundation. I've definitely slept in more opinionated buildings. Let me tell you about the termite infested wood structure I camped in during the Katrina cleanup. . . Or some of the rental farmhouses I was raised in. . . Or the 400 year old manor house which held my basement apartment in Germany. . . Thems was buildings with loud opinions. This little cottage doesn't have enough joints for that level of opining.
The pressure release of having the wait behind me and feeling one step more committed to being a river rat when I grow up has triggered symptoms of mania. Gots to get to every detail of ^it^ immediately. Deadline: 13 O'clock! Snap to it, soldier!!
Just breathe. . . Itsy bitsy baby steps. For now, a second cup of coffee sounds like ambition enough.
I ordered the Tower Garden last night. It is the very same aeroponics kit I was ready to buy when the family hurricane season started in July 2016. This is a semi-mobile plug and play kit that should help me learn my Aeroponics 101 while work is underway on the lab. It feels significant that I am picking up one of the threads which was lost in the hurricanes. For now, it feels important to avoid analyzing that significance. I go some pretty bizarre places when I start over-analyzing. K.I.S.S K.I.S.S. Keep it simple, sweetie.

Happy opinionated offerings from the house....no doubt will be filled soon with music. Reminiscing of my first house....stucco, 4 rooms on slab...all the best to you!
basil and mint, maybe a winter carrot or tomato. whatever you grow will be sweet and worthy of boasting about.
When it comes to plants, I don't lose. I either learn or I munch. Somethymes both. . .
Cool. :-)
