First meeting with David Zid was so inspiring!
Do you ever just feel so strongly that you are in the right place, doing the right thing? That is how I am feeling today. I had my first session with David Zid and he is as awesome as I thought he would be. And most importantly I have so much hope and confidence in what exercise can do to help me fight this disease. More so than I had even before coming here and I had a lot then. Mr. Zid thinks that with exercise, not only can I slow the progress down but can even reverse some of the symptoms that I already have. He has seen it happen. We have made a goal that in a year my UPDRS score (Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating scale) will be lower than it was when I was first diagnosed. I am so inspired and ready to fight with all my being. My husband is just as excited about this and is even on board with trying to get fit himself. His exercises are really just basic exercises, stretching, core building, strength training, and of course cardio workouts. He has shown us some interesting techniques for specific symptoms reversal which I'll give more detail about later on my blog when I get home and even show you a video clip my husband took.
I am shouting this with all the strength I have - if you are not exercising START TODAY. Everyone - PD or not!!! You won't regret it for a minute. (Well maybe when you are sore at first. lol)
Take care everyone!

CM, I am so excited for you. Wish I could be as motivated about exercising as you are. I like exercising, just can\'t seem to talk myself into it. Having a personal trainer though, that\'s huge, really cool! You are so lucky to be able to get help with slowing down the p.d. process, first hand. Great step in the right direction.
CM... I knew this was going to be an awesome experience for you... I\'m so glad to hear the excitment in your words... maybe when chat is up and running we can chat about it i\'d like to know more... guess what? I bought his book, just got it in mail yesterday!!!! talk soon i hope.. paula

Take care,

I love your excitement and determained outlook for the future. From everything I\'ve read about PD, exercise and lots of it has always been the key to fighting it and delaying worse symptoms. Keep doing what you\'re doing and enjoy your time with David Zid. Happy Thanksgiving too.
