First entry
This is my first journal entry. I am being treated for type 1A. I started last February and am scheduled to go until January. I have been able to work the whole time (I sit at a computer all day) and recently have started getting tired and out of breath easily. Anemia. Hopefully the Dr. can do something. Thankfully my virus is undetectable and I hope the treatment will not be too much for me and I can finish. I have great friends who are praying for me and I think that helps me a lot. Other side effects are wired smells, craving protein, hating chicken sometimes, dry mouth, very weak, eyesight a little blurry, depression, sleepy all the time, can't work a full week. Taking pegasys and ribavarin. I am thankful that I have insurance and can be treated, that I can still work, that people at work are not all freaked out, that I have good support at work and my wife is holding up well, and that no one in my family got it from me. I don't know how I picked it up.

Thats great, undetectable! The anemia can be treated. Once you have it, the symptoms are easily recognizable. Breathless, soooo tired, just yucky. It can be fixed. I pick up strange odors too that don\'t exist. You must be...half way there?
I hope so. I am at 30 weeks. Thanks a lot for your comment.

Hi Wes, I can relate to all the sides you mention, - my anemia is mild however thank God. I am genotype 1b and on same treatment for 48 weeks until Feb/Mar next year. I too hope I can keep on working as it is a great distraction.
Thanks for your comment Bill. I don\'t know if my anemia is mild or what?!? I wish they would tell me. I guess I have to wait till Monday
