First doctor visit

I am so blest!  The neurosurgeon that I am now seeing is the same doctor who preformed surgery on Billy Graham.  He has several of the news clippings hanging in his office.  In addition to this, he is at the top of his field and people from various places around the country actually fly in to see him in Asheville. He looked at the MRIs I took with me and showed us where some of the spinal nerves were not visible in the pictures.  So, on April 22 I will be having a CT Myelogram.  This is being done because this test gives such better pictures of all the nerves and the spinal cord as well.  So, off I go in this experience. As for Mom, she continues to deteriorate.  Her CHF is acting up again with a current weight of 145 (should be 126) and shortness of breath.  She is exhibiting signs of confusion with all this as well.  She has complaints of "burning pain" in her entire abdominal region, along with poorly colored stool.  I have made the facility aware of all this, because Mom was not.  We have done a the arrangements that I would have to tend to in case the final event in her life comes while I am in my recuperation stage and therefore unable to tend to her needs.   I know that this is a viable risk, but cannot go any longer without receiving the surgical intervention.   My spinal cord is being pinched & flattened.  Without intervention I run the risk of becoming a quadriplegic and will not be able to help even myself, much less anyone else.
