First Day on New Med Routine
So today was my first day on the morning Risperdal and the double night dose of the Depakote. I don't expect anything so soon except to be more tired. I have been tired... I slept for 12 hours last night. I'm still trying to get out and go to the gym every day, and I did manage to make it today for about 15 minutes on the elliptical machine. Right now I'm getting a half hour of cardio- 15 minutes walking to the gym and back, and 15 minutes in the gym itself. It's not much, but it's what I can do for now. I don't want to push myself too hard and then be unable to go to the gym anymore.
I'm trying to get my life together. I want to be able to go back to work and be good as soon as possible, so I have to work hard to get there. I see my regular doctor and my therapist on Friday. I am going to try and volunteer a couple hours a week at the local clinic here so I have some sort of responsibility, something to get me up in the mornings. I need to set some sort of routine and get myself back on track. It would be nice if there was something I could do on weekends, but right now there's not anything that I know of to do. Sundays are the worst days for me (and please don't suggest church, I'm an atheist) because everything is closed and there is nothing to do. Maybe when we get a car we can go to the beach or something... the pool here is packed on Sunday and Geo is shy. Plus, the kids at the pool act like idiots and I can't stand watching them do stupid stuff just waiting for them to bust their heads open while the adults get drunk.
*sigh* I'm downgrading my mood to okay... Just not feeling it today. I just want to sleep, but I have to stay up so I don't sleep for another 12 hours tonight. That, or if I do sleep for 12 hours that I wake up at a decent time instead of noon. Yesterday I was just so tired... I need to get over the side effects of these meds- mostly them making me sleepy so I can get back to a regular life.
Food: macos for breakfast, I went to Wendy's and had a small hamburger and chili for lunch, regular dinner and a salad with my meds. We will see how the weight goes... I weighed today but I was the same as I was on Sunday.
