First Day Of The Year Sucks Already
I have been doing well for months now. We've been talking more with our daughter, she seems to be over the obsessive part of her relationship with her boyfriend. Had a wonderful week over Christmas and then New Year's Eve hit.
We always had a lot of fun on NYE with food and watching the ball drop. She was back with her b/f, he doesn't like holidays and has no TV, so she sits with a bag of potato chips only. It broke my heart. Is this really what she wants? Is love really that blind? On NY day we always make a big ham dinner and although I am still cooking it's just not the same. Last night I sent her a NY fb message before I went to bed and just heard back from her, in the middle of the day.
Also had to take the Christmas tree down without her, absolutely hated it and cried. Why are memories so tied to our emotions? School starts next Monday and who knows when she will be home again for a weekend?
Just when I think I'm getting good at this schoolyard game, a big fat ball smacks me in the head and knocks me down.

Hope the Christmas blues are over. Spring can\'t get here fast enough. I have three weeks until the wedding and don\'t know how much I will see my son and his lady after that. Hand in there. Hugs.
