First Day of Exercise Reduction
I reached my goal weight about a month ago (130) and did really well with it for about 2 weeks. My nutritionist did not really reduce my meal plan...all she did was remove one Ensure Plus. She did allow me to return to exercise (I had previously been on 100% exercise restriction because of exercise addiction). She told me that I could walk outside for 45 minutes 4 days a week. I was OK with that for the first week. Then the rains came and I could not go out to walk so I got on my treadmill...big mistake. I immediately got obsessed with the MPH, the incline, the intensity...everything that I need to avoid...at least at this stage of the game. Within one week I went from walking outside for 45 minutes 4 times a week to walking/running on the treadmill at 4.2MPH with a 2.5 incline for 45 minutes...7 days a week. I began obsessing about exercise and worrying if I was going to be able to work it into my day. I also started leaving out a thing or 2 here and there off of my meal plan. Next think I knew I went to my nutrition appointment (today) and was down 6 pounds in 2 weeks.

Hi Sarasota- This is my first time reaching out to someone on this site. I am brand new to this site and have been searching for posts that I can relate to. Your story makes sooooo much sense to me!! The treadmill example is my life!! I also suffer from bulimia and restricting. I tend to swing between all 3 behaviors with the strongest urges being for exercise. I spend most of my day \"stopping thoughts\" of what my exercise routine should be for the day. I know it is crazy but I can\'t stop the voice. I think I need to go on an \"exercise restriction\" for a few weeks. My doctor has not ever put me on one. He suggests the walking thing as well. Unfortunately, it always leads to more demands and intensity! Thank you for your post, and for listening!! I also REALLY have appreciated your posts to others. If you are interested in \"friending me\". I think you would be a great support to me. Totally understand if you have too many others at this point. Thank you!! :)
