FIRST DAY OF CHRISTMAS, 25 DECEMBER 2012, TUESDAY

December 25, 2012.  ds is nutso again with the date.  its 7:20 p.m. and already their "server" marks it as the 26th, so the server is located where?  eastern europe?  will have to trace the name of the server and where they are based.  chris already wrote to the company and nothing helped.
tried to get on here yesterday to wish everyone a happy christmas and couldn't.  seems the site went down around 6:20 p.m. and never came back up.  do we get to find out why?  facebook was also doing poorly, access to photos was impossible.  switched back to ordinary e-mail.  liveoffthegrid.com looks better all the time.  lol.
surprisingly both girls were here for christmas, but b still hasn't made it back.  my gift this year was from the girls together.
as always today is the first day of the holiday for me.  ak was by again and brought fudge, which is nice.  vk was also by and brought more fudge, her's is creamier and tastier, but i shouldn't have either one, i'm prone to pre-diabetes.  it runs in my family.   and a few years ago i had 110 sugar which is bad.  i got it back down by avoiding most white foods, less alcohol and red meat etc.
k called this morning speaking foreign languages for christmas.  his alcohol ban after his hemoglobin being elevated and having heart burn, lasted about one day or one hour .... lol.  he says he bought scotch, instead of bourban and he feels the scotch solved all the troubles.  very smooth.  lol.  he claims the cojimares (i'm spelling this wrong) that are in bourban are the source of the trouble.  hmmm not the amount of drinking, its the cojimares.  lol.  i can't possibly get to his house until tomorrow and i will be dragging on that as well because the whole week is jam packed.
the cats at br's colony were missing again yesterday night (that's two times in a row) and i'm concerned.  the same thing happened last year, just before his return, they disappeared.  this time its tragic because both of the animals are friendly the other 3 have been missing since october.  like a nightmare to go through that, and his wife had to deal with this while having cancer before she died a few years ago.  would love to know who his bad neighbor is and i'm wondering now if its a snowbird.  someone who arrives at christmas time and traps or poisons?  makes you hate people when things like this happen.
the weather was fabulous all day.  many people went surfing.  the water is too cold for me.  in bethlehem, israel, its 51 degrees today.  similar climate to here i bet, but its in the 70's here today, for now.  our weather fluctuates a LOT in the winter and people in north florida get colds much more than in south florida, probably because of the changes in weather even over the course of a day.
started yesterday with egg nog, my treat.  had too much, sipping and drinking that most of the day.  lol.  and felt ill from it.  should have taken lactose intolerance pills before imbibing - can't handle bailey's irish cream without the pills anymore either.   took a lot of calls on animal inquiries.  this is the first christmas in nine years that i didn't have to do adoptions on christmas eve and christmas day so that is a yay!
started this morning with leftovers from last night, tortilla chips, salsa, magueritas, coffee with bailey's irish cream.  yay!  when i was a kid, one of my stepfather's used to make pancakes or french toast christmas morning, but i never continued that at all and j doesn't cook, he grills.   that is his contribution.   had turkey ham later and that put me out for most of the afternoon (from the tryptophan in the turkey).  had greek yogart for desert, that was a first.  not bad.
trying to watch the sugar because i was having those dizzy things happen where you feel like you are going to pass out and "this is it" kind of a thing.  like something whacko in the brain.  its a wonderful life and shrek 3 were both on tv last night and got to see about ten minutes of one show and five minutes of the other.   took an extra blood pressure pill to control the dizziness and that helped.  then took potassium and vitamin c (to ward off the cold).   lounged on the deck for a while and then down to the marina with the girls, another surprise.   pretty quiet so far.  yay!  switched the upstairs wreath to the white wreath and put red poinsettia flower on it with the red and green bells.  it looks pretty.  i think i did that last year.  not into decorations this year, but i've gone through that before.  this year it all looks tacky to me, even though we have them up.

Have an awesome week. Good Luck with lots of adoptions. I hope the cats return. Watch that sugar, you don\'t want to get to the insulin thing were I am. I always blow it during the Holidays and then I try to be somewhat good.

I know how much these next days are for your celebrating Christmas. Have Fun, stay safe. Love U XXOO
