First day of C25k

I started out on the first big part of the couch to 5k program (C25k) and did a mile today. It was really hard... I was so tired. Tomorrow I have to do 1.5 miles, and that's what I'm worried about the most. After that, it goes up in .25 mile increments, but tomorrow it's 0.5 miles. I normally don't do them back to back (the walks) but that's just how it worked out with yesterday being so busy. I normally do cardio M/W/F but yesterday I was just too tired when I got home to do anything. I was pretty wiped out today too after my workout.  I did my strength and cardio at the gym today, so it was more than I'm used to. I did the walking part first, since that was the hard part. I'm just wiped out after all that workout.
I slept pretty good last night, and took a long nap today, but I'm still exhausted right now. I get tired this time of night, and normally "wake up" around 10:30pm or so and then can't sleep. I think if I just turned off the computer and tried to sleep right now it wouldn't work anyway. I tried last night and I just couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about food of all things. I knew I had a hamburger left over, and I ended up eating it around midnight. So not only did I eat something horrible, but at the worst time. Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it now, it's in the past. All I can do is try and learn from my mistakes and not repeat them.
Tomorrow I have to go out and run some errands, so I'm going to try and make sure that I have a good breakfast and don't run into the same trap that I did yesterday, being out with no good food around. There's a Wendy's around where I change buses, and I know their chili is good, but I don't know if I can resist one of their hamburgers since I'm craving beef right now. LOL there's probably more beef in their chili than in one of their hamburgers since the meat patties are so small. I don't know... It just depends on what I feel like tomorrow. I know I have good food that I can take so that's not a problem, and I have oatmeal and eggs for breakfast, along with a Greek yogurt. I have a bunch of different ways I can get home on the bus, so I have to figure out how I'm going to get home tonight before I leave tomorrow. Or maybe I will check them tomorrow when I have a better idea of how long it's going to take for me to be out. I'm not sure yet.
Today moodwise was good- I've just been tired all day, but not feeling bad. I think yesterday wiped me out, then the hard day at the gym just added onto it. I slept for 12 hours last night, and then took a 3 hour nap and I'm still tired. I got the bus schedule for later tomorrow morning so I can sleep in a bit and not have to worry about being up early. Ah, Geo is rubbing my back right now and it's heaven! I could fall asleep like this easily. I love it when I get attention- who doesn't?
Geo and I are talking about me volunteering at the local clinic. He knows it's going to be stressful for me, but I need to learn how to deal with stress in a job environment and not freak out. Stress is one of my big downfalls at work, and then I end up in the hospital. At least at the clinic all they have to do is walk me from the front desk to the mental health area. I hope they understand that I'm different and have different needs than most people. That's why I'm going to start out small with the volunteering thing and only do a couple hours here and there until I get used to it. It's not exactly what I want to do, but I'm going to have to live with it. I can't just jump in and do 40 hour weeks and expect to be fine.
Food- today I had some Wheat Thins and hummus for breakfast, eggs and ketchup for lunch, baby carrots and ranch dressing for a snack and regular dinner. I have a piece of chicken left over, but I'm saving that for the middle of the night if I get some craving and then I have something good to eat. I'm still happy I have all this good food around :)
