First day my journal

Wondering if I should play the lotto?  I seem to go against long odds.  Last year not feeling great but not horrible I had my yearly physical with my long time care giver.  She noted my weight gain, high blood presure that I had been battling for a long time.  I was now getting weakness for some odd reason.  She was aware of my graves but noted that I was prediabetic.  I refused to go on metform and we decided if I got after it with excerise and a trainer to lose weight I would do fine. Long story short I lost 85 pounds 800 calories per day and working out 45 min per day everyday (by the way I never once hurt, I would get bruised from working out too hard but never sore).  I was so tired but excited to go to see her to show I was not longer pre diabetic, well I was no longer pre diabetic but my sugars sky rocketed, started metform and getting sicker everyday.
Started to have alot of problems with my eye sight, it was getting so bad that even after expanding spreadsheets to 11x17 I could still not see them, I was a controller at that time.  Went back to doctor and she tested my a1c and it was off the charts it was determined that I had type 1 diabetes (I am 52) crazy.  Seeing her only once a year it was hard to put all the peices together but I asked her to check my pancrease pancreatic cancer is in my family and she did.  I got a call a couple of days later and she said that pancreae looked great...but.....the big but....I had bilateral tumors very large in my adrenal glands grapefruit and lemon size.  I was so happy about pancrease that I thought this was great news.  We decided to go to Mayo in AZ we had family there.  In October we got into to see a wonderful endo dr.  He ran a bunch of tests on adrenals and pit gland and determined that there may be a possibility to save at least one adrenal but he couldn't do testing necessary.  He set up an appointment for Mayo in Rochester in December.  It was decided that neither could be safed my husband and I were excited to get adrenals removed, thinking that I would be better and not so tired.  We were told that I just need to take 3 pills and I would be fine and back to normal, and that I would feel horrible while my body went through withdrawl from the high cortisol that it was producing.  They were right it was been horrible, had to quit my job that I loved....brain fog that they did not mention.....tired to the point of riding the recliner for hours....and just crappy.
Went through feeling sorry for myself, husband went through feeling sorry for our life, but think I am through the worst.  Keeping my sugars controllede has improved my eye sight yay!!!

What a gorgeous day today, sun is shining no snow, wind or rain love it! I wake up and have so many things I want to do, in reality I will only be able to do a few. That is what I hate, but feel fortunate to do the things I can,. I have always been positive and hope that I donn\'t end up being a sorrowful person. i am starting to gain weight and that scares me I truely can not exercise
