First Arrival

YS and family made it through the travel centers to cross the 1800 mile fortress between the birth clan and the family I gave birth to. When most beloved sis and I found them in the waiting room of the train station, GS (3) was so amped on adrenaline that it seemed to take him a while to recognize me and even after recognition, he was too amped for a drive-by waving. He was passed-out in his car seat before we found our way out of the inner-city parking lot. He has yet to regain consciousness. GD (1) fell asleep in her car seat just as quickly, but woke up to share the family drive-thru meal in her motel room.

Through the obstacle course of finding and securing the young family in the motel room next to mine, hubs was texting me the drama of ES's adventures to his current crack relapse. The fun just never ends. Is it a problem or a solution that hubs was running the loop with ES's significant other? I am crossing elephants and rinososauri again. Elephino. Letting God lead the dance. . . Over the course of the texted drama, Hubs was refering to the significant other as DODer. DOD = Daughter of Delusion. She has no official relation to our family, but she sure feels like family, even when ES gets to the break up chapter of his crack cycle.

As of last night DODer was still planing to complete her travel itinerary to the same train station where we picked up YS and his family last night. She is scheduled to arrive tonight and drive back to Texas with me at a still undetermined date. We see what grows.

For now, YS and family are stirring. Prayers in progress. . .

I can't even imagine the strength it would take to get through a child's addiction (even though I witnessed it from the sidelines with my ex BIL). Wishing you all the strength to get through all of the days ahead.

If it helps, I've learned to enjoy life even when everything is burning down around me.

You're in my thoughts, Patti
