first day

i took my first dose of methotrexate about 15 hours ago.  i slept pretty well as far as i can remember and woke with a bit of a queasy feeling.  the queasiness subsided and i had cereal and coffee.  i also took my one a day women's mulitvitamin, 1mg folic acid, flaxseed derived omega 3, and 500mg calcium with vit d.  i will take another 500mg calcium + d with dinner - hoping for optimal absorption.
i started feeling a bit shaky and sleepy about an hour ago.  worried that i might need to crash, i ate lunch (black beans and rice) and jumped in the shower.  about 40 minutes after i first started feeling shaky, i still feel a bit shaky - not like low blood sugar though.  a bit spacey but not really drowsy.  like, i bet i could nap, but i don't NEED to... yet.  i'm supposed to run to the supermarket but think i might skip it unless i can find a driver.
joint pain is still the same - obviously.
dh and i are adding a green superfoods drink to our weekly regimen.  we're hoping to juice 3/4 nights a week and use this superfood supplement in juice the other 3/4 nights a week.  he's been very supportive, if not emotive, since my dx on thursday.  he's interested in working out a diet for me to help alleviate symptoms and lose weight.  i read somewhere that the day you are dx'd with RA, you cut 10-15 years off your life expectancy.  although i have no typical weight-related health issues (healthy cholesterol, great blood pressure, no diabetes) my weight will eventually be a bigger factor in my health.  i've never been able to lose weight, no matter the diet, and i have no thyroid issues.  we're hoping that focusing more on types of food instead of calories, i might see a positive change.

Appears to me that you are getting the \"MTX fog\" - don\'t worry, it will go away after about 6 weeks - I take the MTX weekly and folic acid daily - the fog is nothing more than fatigue

Be well and take naps - they are great
