Fireworks and Dogs...
We didn't need to go anywhere for our fireworks this year. All the neighborhoods around us have heavily invested in illegal fireworks. They even bought three and five inch mortars! My dog has been frantic for the whole week. His fur is falling out in clumps, he whines and yelps all the time. I wonder why it frightens him to pieces like this? Huge starburst professional fireworks. Reds, greens, reports (the bang-o ones). It was insane. The police can't stop it. I kind of makes me wonder just how nuts our society has become that people feel that their desire to shoot explosives is more important than my sleep.

Sorry your family had to go through so much, fireworks can be so dangerous. Your poor dogs, their hearinging is so sensitive. Fireworks are illegal in Maine, which helps cut down on the use.
I\'m sorry that the fireworks were so disruptive to your family and dog. We fired off some legal fireworks in our driveway both Friday and Saturday nights. There were a few illegal fireworks shot off in the neighbor, but not as many as in past years. Maybe the economy and high gas prices cut into some folks fireworks budget?
Anyway, hopefully things are quiet in your neighborhood again...
Poor you and pooch. Sounds like they got pretty into it out there. I hear your complaints. Hopefully yall have settled back down now. Sorry the 4th of July was a burden on you guys. Hugs, Jennay
