Finished School
Whew............... So after waiting 15 years to go back to school I just finished my Associates degree. It feels so good to have finally completed it. I amazed myself by actually doing my classwork and wanting to get good grades. I was lucky to be able to do the entire thing online making it easier for me to do it when I wanted to and not have to be constricted to a schedule. I feel so empowered now and feel that I can do anything and know my son will have a better life because I did this. I'm also so excited because I start my Bachelor's degree on the 22nd of this month. This one will take about 2 years but again, it's all online! It has been tough at times, since the hubby wasn't all supportive and his "selfishness" took over at times and got mad because I had to be on the computer for hours at a time getting stuff done instead of hanging with him. Even though our apartment is so small you really can't get away from each other. But now that I'm learning about BP and the stuff that comes with it, I'm learning to not take it personally and let it go. I've come to realize that that BP's want you to be at their beck and call at all times. I'm not that type of person, never have been and never will. But did realize that I started to become that person just to "ward" off a fight. Never again will I do that, I will stand my ground and be the strong woman that I am. School has helped me realize that I can do anything! Too bad it took me 33 years to realize it, but that just gives me the opportunity to do what I want and be proud of it!!

Good for you on getting your Associates. And good luck on getting the Bachelors. You can do it. It took me 11 years and getting married to get my Associates in Information Technology. When I proposed my wife (soon to be wife at that time) she said we could get married after she got her associates OR before she finished if I went and got my associates also. Well I decided that the latter option was actually better and well we both got our associates and we got married.
So happy for you!! Congrats!!! I\'m going back in September and hopefully I will do as good as you!! What r u getting your Bachelors in? I think I want to get my AA and Bachelors in physch and become a therapist. I have always wanted to do that to help people but now that I have gone through this I really want to do it. It only took me 40yrs for that desicion!!! Again big Congrats!!!!!!
