In 1985 I participated in my first knife show at the Oregon Knife Collectors Association in Eugene, Oregon. Also, in 1985 I took some of my knives with Hawaiian Koa handles with me on a vacation to Hawaii. That proved to be a great market for many years with my knives selling on Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. Working from my designs or from a customer's design and specs, I take sole authorship of each step in the process—including heat treating and blade tempering.
Extra sections on embellishments like scrimshaw, engraving and sculpting of handle material are added. Washington knifemaker Webb Hammond creates flint knapped knives that are true museum quality. This stunning display combines a sled runner artifact with Webb's expertly knapped custom knife. This knife was kept in a private collection since it was made. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances, Webb could have made it yesterday.
If it’s a folder, it was probably made in China or Taiwan. A lot of his designs are inspired both by his time in the SEALs and his interest in American history, and by extension Knife making Native American culture and tools. He chose the name from a particular experience he had while being deployed when they were using horses to carry munitions in rough terrain.
They were used for hunting and all-purpose house needs, including skinning and cutting meat. Contrary to its name, it is not necessary to cut or skin animals with a hunting knife. This name if just a part of history that we can’t change.

If you want to read some good reviews, but they aren’t widely distributed. They don’t seem to have a huge operation as of this writing, so getting one of their knives might take a while, but it seems like anyone who’s gotten one will tell you ecstatically that it’s worth it.
