Finally Volunteered

I finally made it to volunteering today. I was there for 2.5 hours, which isn't too bad. I started to get a migraine and wasn't feeling well, so I left. I handed out fliers about an upcoming event and did some translating at the information desk. The woman at the desk and I got along well, even though she was lost when I was trying to help the people in Spanish. It seems the other woman just translates back and forth to what each person says, but I was answering the people's questions in Spanish instead of asking the woman at the desk. I hope she doesn't think I'm trying to go over her head or anything, I will have to talk to her about it when I get a chance. I don't want her getting mad at me on my first day. Maybe she will just chalk it up to rookie error. I'm getting weird looks again from people who don't think that I speak Spanish. I haven't gotten those in a while since I haven't been speaking it. I'm a bit rusty, but in a few days I will have gotten back into the swing of it. I'm trying to remember how to say things in an easier manner.
I got some good sleep last night, too. I got my 12 hours. A bit broken, but nothing like the past couple of nights. I didn't nap today since I did the volunteer thing, but nothing big. I'm feeling better than yesterday, but still not up to normal yet. I still kinda have the migraine in the back of my head, waiting for the pills to stop working to come back. I hope it doesn't, but at the same time I'm half expecting to wake up at 3am with a killer migraine again and have to take some pills for it. I don't take Excedrin Migraine at night since it has caffeine in it, I have some tylenol and aspirin that I take instead. It's the same thing, just without the caffeine. I'm not going to go volunteer tomorrow, so I have the day off. I'm going to work on getting my exercise in and going to the bank since I didn't get a chance to do that today. I didn't feel well enough after I went to volunteer, and I woke up too late to do it before I went. I will do it tomorrow when I wake up.
My food has been good today. I ate a sandwich at work which put me in my daily calorie range, and it was a good sandwich. I'm still a bit low on protein, but I have my second piece of chicken if I want to eat it tonight. If not, I can eat it tomorrow for breakfast. Yes, I know it's weird to eat chicken for breakfast, but I don't eat like a normal person does. Right now, my days are going to be oatmeal for breakfast, spaghetti for lunch and chicken for dinner until the 3rd or the food stamps come in. I just hope there's enough food for the both of us to last until then. It's hard when you are broke and you don't have a lot of money for food. We get less than $230 for the two of us per month for food stamps, and that's what we have to eat off of. When I'm trying to eat healthy, it's hard to get the food I want when we are on such a limited budget. I make it last, though, the best I can.
My mood has been okay today. I was a bit stressed out at the clinic, not being used to being in a working environment, but I dealt with it okay I guess. I know that the migraine was because of the stress, but I have to learn how to deal with it. It's just hard being depended on for something when you haven't been in a while, and people asking you questions you don't know the answer to or saying words you don't understand. I know it will get easier in time, but the first day is always the hardest. I can't wait until they get me somewhere where I don't have to deal with people bombarding me with questions and giving me the evil eye for not knowing everything when it's my first day. Or just getting the experience I need to answer the questions I can. I'm going to try and go back on Thursday. I just hope I can sleep and be stable by then.
I'm still considering going to the clinic. I'm going to see on the 1st how I'm doing and evaluate it from there, or if I have to go early then I go early. Right now I'm doing good enough to be able to stay away, but I don't know how I'm going to be doing tomorrow, or even how I'm going to feel in an hour. I'm not tired yet, and it's almost 10. Well, I'm physically tired, just not mentally tired. I need to be both to sleep. If I do have to go to the clinic, though, it will be good because then I will be covered for my health insurance in August and I can see my therapist for free again. So there is a benefit to going to the clinic, but I'm not going to go if I don't need to.
