Finally got to celebrate July 4th

Today, July 10, I got to celebrate the Fourth! Better late than never. As you recall, the real holiday was rained out. Our bldg. had its annual Cook-Out which takes place indoors! ??? At least the meat is grilled outdoors. We had a choice of hot dog, hamburger, or cheeseburger. Also served were baked beans, potato salad, drink, and dessert. I passed on the potato salad, never could eat the stuff. Also gave away my bag of chips in the interest of saving 150 calories. Baked beans were delicious with a smoky flavor. Had diet Sprite to drink. Dessert was a strawberry popsicle bar. All in all, it was good and fun.
The burger was a little overcooked and dry and nearly cold by the time our table got their eats. But hey, a burger is a burger! Still tasted good. And I got to be at a table of six or seven friends. It's more enjoyable that way. Sometimes at activities we get stuck close to people we don't know or like.
Next Sat. will be movie night. They used to have it every month, but now only alternate months. We get a drink and popcorn. I think the movie will be EVENING AT THE MUSEUM. Anybody see it? Supposed to be a comedy.
This weekend I want to color my hair. I'm tired of looking at FIFTY SHADES OF GREY. (Hair, not the movie.)

that\'s good that ya\'ll get to celebrate together, where me n my ife Angel lived our apt. building ppl in Detroit Mi. (there are Detroits in other states) celebrated things together,but we weren\'t comfortable there b/c ppl were racist against us white ppl.They thought we were b/c we\'re white, but it was the other way around I found out from other ppl..It\'s sad it had to be that way.Our nieces are half black & I have black friends, we were raised to treat everyone equally.. Here in KY. we enjoyed fireworks right from home, I think I stopped counting how many neighbors were doing them after I got to 12 ?.The USA celebrates my Birthday a day after my b day,lol my b day is on July 3rd.. I\'m glad u had a good time, enjoy your summer dear..

the building where i live has weekly movie nights, as well as saturday comedy dvds, and some free meals.
the one place at the local farmer\'s market, twice, gave me an undercooked hamburger; took me two times to avoid that place; a mexican restaurant in same farmer\'s market yesterday had big breakfast pancakes for 75 cents each.
even male me debates about dying my gray hair to its once red, which would make my pale skin look less sickly, though i\'m too lazy to want to keep up with the up-keep, and people do talk about men dying their hair, vs women dying their hair.
So glad you got to celebrate finally. Great that you were able to do it with friends.
