Finally a small bit of hope
Yesterday was a long day as we had to go get more meds for my husband. For most people this is not a big problem. For us it is 2 busses just to get to the clinic pharmacy and then a two block walk just to get to the clinic from the bus. I have a bad back and Ed has bad feet on top of his PD. We support each other and keep each other going. When we went to pick up the meds we had to wait for a long time. I decided to find out what the problem was, Our buzzer was not working. Then only one med came, not two. We then had to walk down this long hallway to the clinic itself to pick up the prescription. Then back to the pharmacy. Then we decided to go out to Chinese for lunch. It was on the way home and we don't go out very often as we just cannot afford to. We got home and collapsed. Ed was so tired he fell asleep immediately.
When Ed and I were both awake in the middle of the night he said for the first time in a long time he had a short time where he had no pain. Just this little bit if relief is good news and gives us hope for the future. Part of the reason the meds were not working is no one gave us correct instructions on how it was to be used. Praise the Lord for his goodness and mercy and for leading us to someone who knows something about PD.

Yesterday was a good day. My husband got some much needed sleep. It was more peaceful and he did not complain so much. It bothers me when he complains all day long or all of his waking moments. When he is in pain, I wish he would just take his pain pill as he is supposed to. However he has this fear of getting addicted to them. I am hoping for another good day today. I know that God is here to help, but sometimes I get lost in the negativity of the situation. I love this sight and feel very comfortable here venting my feelings. I am so glad I found it and I don\'t even know how I found it. God can even direct my fingers on the internet. Love to all for today and forever
My insomnia is acting up as it usually does every night. However sometimes when I am up, my husband is asleep. I really appreciate all the support that I get here. Everyone is so nice. I know that a person with Parkinson\'s really has it hard, but most people don\'t realize that the caregiver has a hard time too. We watch our loved ones suffer with this terrible debilitating condition. For someone who has always been taken care of by there hubby, it is hard to reverse rolls. I do lean on God and friends a lot. I am so glad that God led me to this sight for my support. Thank all of you so much.
For those of you that have Parkinson\'s, I have question. What do you do for the pain? Ed is dealing with a lot of pain, but the pain pills only put him to sleep.
Saturday was a good day. I was able to get out for 4 hours and enjoy my lady friends and help with making blankets. I picked up 2 different kinds of variegated yarn. They look pretty on the skein, but I don\'t like how they work up, but I started the projects and they will be finished.
Sunday we were able to enjoy a nice lunch out at our favorite Chinese restaurant. Monday we did nothing, but enjoyed the day. My sciatica is acting up, so Ed with his Parkinson\'s and me with sciatica make a really good pair that can basically not do much of anything. Hoping everyone has a great day, I plan to make the most of mine.
Yesterday was a tough day, but it ended well. We got a statement to pay a bill that was already paid, I got that straightened out and paid the dr. bill over the phone. Hurray, we are up to date on all our bills. This is not easy to do on a very small fixed income. I was supposed to deliver some documents to a business, but there is always a line and it was 95 degrees out, so I didn\'t stand in line. My friend then took me to the bank so I could get quarters for the laundry. Apartments should furnish free washers and dryers. I came home with a migraine, but I took care of it with some sugar free marble cake I had made on Sunday. Then I went to bed and slept 8 hours straight. I feel so much better today. Ed wants me to call his Dr. with an update sometime today while I am babysitting. It is such a joy to watch this young man. He gives me no trouble whatsoever. It is nice just to be able to share my feelings here. This has been a great help. Sometimes it is hard as Ed is a non stop talker and lately his non stop chatter is very depressing. I know he has to vent too, but constantly sometimes is too much for me to handle. I try to be patient, but I can only take so much negativity. I like it in here as we all have problems, but we all have some good times too. Love to everyone.
Today started off badly. Ed is on one of his negativity rampages. I can only take so much of that attitude. I am so glad that he went to bed and is asleep. WE also had to do the laundry this morning. We both are hurting more physically because the weather got a lot colder really fast and that affects our arthritis and his Parkinson\'s is really affected by the cold. I know that he is not In a good way right now, but I wish he would not always be so negative. If he feels that way, why does he always have to verbalize it. I am so tired of hearing it. I have been very quiet today and he does not like that, but he has not said anything about my being quiet. Well, I voice my feelings and now I am whining just like he has been to bug me. Oh, Jeez, I have just become the exact thing I do not like about my husband.
The weather here in Phoenix is finally nice. High\'s in the mid 80\'s. This is a busy day. I am up early to finish my big bear for Azari, then fix breakfast for hubby before I go to church. Then I will come home and fix lunch. Then I will start back on the blankets for the homeless children. I love to keep busy because then I don\'t think so much about our situation with not being able to do much anymore and dealing with Hubby\'s Parkinson\'s is hardship enough. I noticed that he loses his balance sometimes when he gets up out of a chair. I don\'t like when he goes somewhere alone. I worry about him. When he does go out alone, I say a lot of prayers. I must get busy. Love to all,
